Avengers Academy has been a consistently great read from writer Christos Gage. Unfortunately, both his run and the series itself will be coming to an end this November. However, judging from his comments on Twitter (which can be seen below) there may still be room in the Marvel NOW! universe for the cast of young heroes. Newsarama reached out to Marvel for a comment and were told the following. "We have exciting plans. Stay tuned for major announcements over the next few months."

FINAL ISSUE!
• End-of-an-era Series Finale!
• In the aftermath of the gruelling "Final Exam", can friendships, romances – and the Academy itself – survive?

This was a surprisingly good read. I was pretty skeptical at first, but I dig it.

Awww, I'll really miss it. Surprisingly good book.

I really hope the characters start popping up in other titles.

OMG Noooooooo. It was the best current Avengers title... not because the others were bad, but because this book featured brand new characters that didn't need to revert to the status quo. So disappointing.

Where is X-23 hand?

I'm sure the crew of Avengers Academy will now feature in the Marvel NOW's new "Avengers" comic, the one written by Jonathan Hickman, because he said “It’s not six Avengers, it’s 18 or more”, so hopefully we will get to see all the members of AA, including X-23 <3

Was a suprisingly good read. I was skeptical at first too. Was recommended on Blair Butler's Fresh ink Online. Picked up 1st issue, and was hooked.

That sucks. I really liked the series, and hopefully they manage to rope some, or all, of the characters into other titles. They can bring Finesse over to the New Avengers any day of the week, that's where the fun is.

Not a bad comic, but just like the JL Unlimited animated series, they ruined the book by taking out one of the main characters (Veil), and then introducing a large panorama of new characters and overwhelmed the reader.

Just hope this isn't the end result to the very good animated series "Young Justice" too, when they went away from the main original group and added a large new crop of heroes to deal with.

Also, the incessant introduction of gay characters in Avengers Academy left and right was becoming monotonous. What next, Captain America and Giant Man are going to get it on?
