Hollywood Reacts To The Tragic Death Of Filmmaker Tony Scott
Hollywood has been rocked by the news that director and producer Tony Scott took his own life yesterday at the age of 68. Here, the likes of John M. Chu, Jon Favreau, James Gunn, Robert Rodriguez, Marc Webb, Edgar Wright and many more react to the news.
As you are sure to have heard by now, Tony Scott was identified yesterday as having committed suicide after jumping from the Vincent Thomas Bridge, which spans San Pedro and Terminal Island in Los Angeles. He directed many films over the years, including Top Gun, True Romance, Enemy of the State, Man On Fire, The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 and Unstoppable. He also produced one of the latest films directed by his brother, Ridley, Promethus, not to mention many, many others. Unfortunately, Tony Scott never got the chance to helm a comic book movie, although he was at one time attached to 24: The Movie and the big screen adaptation of Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's Nemesis (the rights are still held by his production company and Joe Carnahan (The Grey) is now set to direct). Below, some of Hollywood's finest pay their respects to the filmmaker, and please feel free to do the same in the comment section below.
