COMICS: ALL-NEW X-MEN Variant Cover Seemingly Reveals Which X-Men Survive AVX

Released at the FanExpo Canada, an All-New X-Men connecting variant cover seemingly reveals which of the current members of the "Extinction Team" survive the conflict in Avengers Vs. X-Men. [WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD]

Below is yet another of Stuart Immonen's connecting variants for All-New X-Men. As you can see, it features a very much alive Cyclops, Emma Frost, Magneto and Magik, as well as a mysterious figure in the background whose identity currently remains unknown. It was widely speculated that Scott Summers would meet his maker at the end of Avengers Vs. X-Men, and while it could be argued that this is simply a variant cover that doesn't really have a significant meaning, it's worth bearing in mind that another featured Wolverine's post-AVX team of mutants and this one also includes a new character who will clearly play a role in the series. Of course, this now leads us to wonder who exactly will die in the final issue of the Avengers Vs. X-Men and where exactly Cyclops and his team will end up...

We already kinda knew Scott would make it out alive. He appears in the Marvel Now group shot that appeared in Entertainment Weekly, along with a new costume.

That guy in the bomber jacket and the girl on the far right of the group shot look massively out of place - maybe signifying a former member leaving the group to return to a normal life?

Yes! Cyclops lives! I hope that variant cover reflects who lives on Cyclops team but someone on here said that Bendis kinda confirmed that Cyclops lives. Emma makes it? Cool.

Question? Did someone actually say an X-Man will die? Maybe it's an Avenger??

Either Uncanny Avengers or All New X-Men takes over for Uncanny X-Men. When Uncanny X-Men comes back, I would love for Jonathan Hickman & Olivier Coipel to be on it!

So Benidis posted this cover on his Tumblr account,and cryptically plays with the idea that the cover seen above may NOT be what it seems...

Sure looks like the girl on the far right might be Rachel Grey,though.

Since this seems to be the "Yesterday's X-Men" hinted at in the timeline shown in the Avengers,that means the Ultron War is about to begin.....

yes kill off professor X well had to happen but namor no way namor is legend, the problem might ensue from the death of prof X is a return of Onslaught now that would be tragic for many of those left, mainly becouse i cant see franklyn richards even bothering this time.
its the end of the Xmen world as we know it :)

@starkillerkch Agree with you.

Cyclops, in fact, is my all time favorite CB Hero. His evolution as a character is just amazing. Can't wait to see what direction they take Cyke after AvX.

I think after this event is over with, I won't be buying no more event books or tie-ins....well they're all in TPB or HC form. The only exception is when the Age Of Ultron starts.

So from the poster that connects each cover shown at the bottom, I'm gonna assume that Hope, Proff. X & Colossus eats it-- Interesting.

Side Note: they should've kept Cyks' visor from when he was consumed with the Phoenix Force; It was sick. I understand dumping the costume, but that visor was bitchin'

This f*cktard trying to call someone a dumbass you have no idea what it takes to be a leader I guess you would prefer to barge into a battle without a plan yeah you can take a hit or too because you have a healing factor but what about everyone else that's what you get when wolverine runs the show with Cyke you get a very detail laid out plan and many back up plans like it or not the Xmen hell even the whole mutant race have survived because of some of cyclops decisions

Why the heck is Storm on Wolverine's team? I thought she wrote him off after she found out he'd continue running his death squad and didn't regret a damn thing (except not killing enough).

Seeing as he's in the Marvel NOW teaser, I figured the speculation about him dying was merely that, speculation. Glad he'll live on. I might start reading X-Men again then. All New X-Men is at the very least intriguing.

Seeing that the cover depicts all the Phoenix Five characters except Namor, it seems that Namor bit the dust in AvX..
