VIDEO GAMES: New "The Final Hours" Featurette Looks At The Origin Story In TOMB RAIDER

In the latest instalment of video game journalist Geoff Keighley's "Final Hours" documentary series, host Zachary Levi (Chuck, Thor: The Dark World) takes us behind-the-scenes of the writing of the game and the reaction from fans to the impressive demo released earlier this year.

After a brutal storm destroys the boat she was travelling on, a frightened young woman is left washed ashore on an unknown beach. On her own but not alone she has only one goal, to survive. Here begins the first adventure for a young and inexperienced Lara Croft in a story which charts the journey of an ordinary woman who finds out just how far she must go in order to stay alive.




Tomb Raider (developed by Crystal Dynamic and published by Square Enix) is set to be released on Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Mac OS X on March 5th, 2013.

Tomb Raider looks awesome! I'm going to pre-order Tomb Raider for the PS3.

This game looks great and all but I won't pre-order this game.Games like Medal Of Honor(2010) & Resident Evil 6 reminds me why it's best to wait until the reviews come in. I won't buy it until I see the reviews.

@marvel, is resi 6 that bad??? It's at my house but I won't be home for another day, I played the demo and it seemed a lot different than the past games but still seemed enjoyable

This looks awesome! It will be interesting considering that Lara lost her parents as a child and now she is taking the path to kickassery. Love the new actress too.

@jessepostal All the reviews I read have been mixed. Some loved it, some thought it was ok, and others say it's the worst but all of them basically were saying the same things like: too many & unnecessary Quicktime Events, cheap deaths,problems with the camera angle, and etc. Me, I liked the demos and I like 2/3 of the campaigns.(Chris demo was not very exciting). Then the cover system is odd. I more than likely will get this game....next year when Capcom will more than likely release a special edition with all the DLC and hopefully all the bugs fixed.

@marv, ya that's what I read and saw as well. Idk, I liked five for what it was, this kind of felt like 4and 5 together, gameplay wise. Ya I'm sure there will be another gold edition buuuut no way I can wait that long haha. Chris's demo wasn't very fun but that huuuuuge b.o.w was fantastic looking

So happy this is out in March. I hate the run up to christmas, one game a week at £40 each, some have to fall by the wayside for a while, shame.

@jessepostal RE5 is really good, of course not like RE4, still it's a really good game. I played it several times.

The only games that I've pre ordered are: Halo 4, Black Ops 2, and after Christmas, I will pre order Dead Space 3.

Idk if I'm gonna preorder black ops 2, cod isn't as fun as it used to be to me. And I only preordered resi 6 because i got a ten dollar gift card with it thru amazon

Yea I use a preordered a couple of games through Amazon back in college because of that $10 credit.lol Now I order through Gamestop because I can get there in 5 min and I don't have to wait a couple of days after it's released.

bigger titles on amazon have release day shipping. Its usually free or a dollar, and still usually cheaper than gamestop. I hate that place

The graphics look amazing! I didn't think it was necessary to reboot the series, but the game looks like it's shaping up to be great.

I will say, I'm going to miss running around and exploring Croft Manor though. I always loved doing that in the previous TR games.

And ya I did hear that Res 6 has camera problems but Res 5 was a blast so 6 must be good

I gave up on this game when after minutes of seeing Lara get bitch-slapped around and ripping off Hunger Games, I heard "I hate Tombs".....

Failure of this epic proportions only comes once in a lifetime folks. They have my kudos for that accomplishment, but they won't be getting any of my money.
