Set in the South two years before the Civil War, "Django Unchained" stars Academy Award®-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award®-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles – dead or alive.

Success leads Schultz to free Django, though the two men choose not to go their separate ways. Instead, Schultz seeks out the South’s most wanted criminals with Django by his side. Honing vital hunting skills, Django remains focused on one goal: finding and rescuing Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), the wife he lost to the slave trade long ago.

Django and Schultz’s search ultimately leads them to Calvin Candie (Academy Award®-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio), the proprietor of “Candyland,” an infamous plantation where slaves are groomed by trainer Ace Woody (Kurt Russell) to battle each other for sport. Exploring the compound under false pretenses, Django and Schultz arouse the suspicion of Stephen (Academy Award®-nominee Samuel L. Jackson), Candie’s trusted house slave. Their moves are marked, and a treacherous organization closes in on them. If Django and Schultz are to escape with Broomhilda, they must choose between independence and solidarity, between sacrifice and survival...

The movie will rock I'm sure, but the trailers..just not feeling the mixed tone. Either dial back the humor, or dial up the "cowboy".
kamberlin22 - 10/10/2012, 5:08 PM

This is one film I am looking forward to. I can tolerate DiCaprio as long as he gets killed. :-P
alekesam - 10/10/2012, 5:35 PM
DiCaprio has never been the best thing about any movie he's been in.

That said, this is highly likely that it's going to be good.

I like the previous trailers better tho'.

"Why don't they just rise up and kill the whites?"

Always thought that myself. They did in Brazil, oh boy did they.

I was thinking the same thing. Was that just some clip from a different movie that accidentally found its way onto the Django trailer? We'll see, in QT we trust.
TheAbomination - 10/10/2012, 10:59 PM
Hells yeah!! This film is definitely on my must-see list!! Also, did I see Jonah Hill in the middle of this trailer?
AlexDeLarge87 - 10/11/2012, 12:00 AM
Looks cool.

DiCaprio is ok but DAMN Gary Oldman would have been something in that villain role.

nowtheresaBATman - 10/11/2012, 7:41 AM
@alekesam what? have you only watched Romeo & Juliet & the Titanic or something? forget to take your smart pill today?

DiCap owns most movies he's in. for example:
Total Eclipse, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Basketball Diaries, Gangs of New york, The Beach, Catch me if you can, The Aviator, Blood Diamond, The Departed, Body of Lies, the Man in the Iron Mask, Inception, Shutter Island, etc. PHENOMENAL ACTING.
He will also be awesome in Django & The Great Gatsby.
even Wolf of Wall Street looks good.
DiCap is a legend. One of the best actors of his generation.

PapaMidnight - 10/11/2012, 12:27 PM
[frick]ing brilliant! Tarantino, baby!
BruceWayneNewton - 10/11/2012, 2:21 PM
It looks good and I'm excited for it but it kind of seems like Leo and Waltz are the same characters only with different accents...
SUPERBATSPIDERMAN - 10/11/2012, 2:52 PM
Tarantino is probably one of my favorite directors. He is at least in my top 5. I love Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Inglorious Basterds, and Reservoir Dogs. I think that this will not disappoint.
Boogie138 - 10/11/2012, 5:50 PM
