Scott needs to die for the good of the Marvel Universe. He's a super douche now, has been for a while, and he just needs to go.
lapress - 10/11/2012, 1:58 PM
cue in mandatory black prisoners
BattlinMurdock - 10/11/2012, 1:59 PM
Remember when Wolverine wasn't the sensible "let's talk to make it all better character?" When he was the rough-em-up, free-to-kill, one-note welcomed breath of fresh air?

And Cyclops was the good-hearted, loyal, relevant warrior and leader for the X-Men?

This feels less like an evolution of two characters and more like the capitalization of success and profit by demonizing these characters to make new readers identify with revamped iterations of the two's past selves. And that's why I don't like this.

It's not that they've changed too much; it's that there's no reason for them to change this way.
SpideyQuad - 10/11/2012, 2:01 PM
I see, it's okay for Wolverine to kill, but he gets all judgmental when someone else does it. Either this is out of character or he's being an a – whole
sKeemAn - 10/11/2012, 2:04 PM
The artwork is great they should've used this guy for AVX might looked alot better
jimpinto24 - 10/11/2012, 2:10 PM
This should be a good battle! Can't wait to pick this title up.
PantherX - 10/11/2012, 2:10 PM
I personally thought Cap was the biggest douche of them all during this event. Just anything he did.. walking around like he is it. Geeze, why doesn't somebody shoot him already.. oh wait.
RedandBlue - 10/11/2012, 2:26 PM
It obviously contains his power.. He's in a prison?
KrazyForKomix - 10/11/2012, 2:32 PM
Holy crap! Isn't this over yet???!!!?!?
"CONSEQUENCES?"

yikes
PantherX - 10/11/2012, 2:33 PM
Don't drop the soap, Summers!
superotherside - 10/11/2012, 2:40 PM
Cyclops is evil in this event and Cap is at times a jerk. You could have done this a lot better Marvel.
baldric33 - 10/11/2012, 2:43 PM
It's become obvious that to save Marvel from itself Wolverine has to die. When they keep demonizing other characters just to make him look better it's obvious his time is up.
AlcoholicA - 10/11/2012, 2:50 PM
So Cyke and Wolvie are the same height now? And somebody get Summers a damn sandwich!
ATrueHero1987 - 10/11/2012, 2:51 PM
So Wolverine is the "leader" of mutants now??
Oh, and to Marvel making Cyclops the villain...
AlcoholicA - 10/11/2012, 2:53 PM
@Marvel87

Marvel making Cyclops a villain wasn't the bad part, it was the poor writing that led to it. Making Cyke the next Magneto could have been an epic storyline, but it wasn't...
YoungThanos - 10/11/2012, 3:02 PM
Said the guy who secretly has a team of murderers killing killing kids mind you.

So is Uncanny X-force in another universe?
jimoakley666 - 10/11/2012, 3:04 PM
Not keen on the a/w at all. Looks very 90's. I'm looking forward to seeing Scott's redemption and return to his original character.
UniBeam11 - 10/11/2012, 3:04 PM
Aside from the obvious deviation from characterization, the cover art here is [frick]in top notch! And that panel art would have proven to be much better than JRJRs shit work in AvX. Romitas art in the first issues of AvX was horrendous!!! It was so hard to take any of it seriously!! But this art is fantastic, and yes battlin, i agree that this is a cash grab capitalization on a prominent character but you have to admit, that without this kind of depth added to wolvie, he would sometimes be hard to take for an entire issue, but there is such thing as taking it too far, he is still and should be every bit the killer we know and love but he does have that old fashioned sense of romantic chivalry to him as well
CaptainObvious - 10/11/2012, 3:06 PM
Will this event just die already? Just reading the title is hurting me.
Luis75 - 10/11/2012, 3:08 PM
He's the best there at what he does, and what he does best is being a complete hypocrite.
lokibane2012 - 10/11/2012, 3:09 PM
[frick] off this AvX. One of the worst events in recent history. And that is including all the god damn reboots.
Cass808 - 10/11/2012, 3:12 PM
Not sure, i kind of sympathize with Summers, and to an extent he's been proven right, admittedly the total destruction of Wakanda was a bit of a downer on the whole situation.
Would actually like to see Cyc get out though, cant wait to pick this up.
mctrinket - 10/11/2012, 3:58 PM
If Logan killed him it would be awesome. Cyclops is such a mega-douche.
TheSoulEater - 10/11/2012, 4:06 PM
**ck Cyclops
TankD - 10/11/2012, 4:36 PM
his expression when he ses Chuck. ARE SO AWESOME!
Temple - 10/11/2012, 4:40 PM
First issue was good, I just hate to see how scott is being treated, but he will revolt back soon. Can't wait.
xizorkatarn - 10/11/2012, 4:54 PM
What Marvel is doing to Cyclops is criminal. They've completely lost touch with who the X-men are.
jasonicus - 10/11/2012, 6:00 PM
Wolverine, the most hypocritical character in the Marvel universe.
LAWLZY96 - 10/11/2012, 10:04 PM
I'm still on Cylcops' side with the whole AVX thing. And with Schism as well.
luckylu - 10/11/2012, 11:27 PM
@jasonicus- spot on! can we put wolvie, scarlet witch, and magneto in there? i mean hell one could even argue xavier himself would deserve it for the creation of onslaught. marvel....get your shit together.
Durango95 - 10/11/2012, 11:50 PM
This art is shit. I hate what Marvel has done to the X-Men.
Ichaos - 10/12/2012, 1:57 AM
Maybe I am oldfashion but I never got how someone that is a badass sees fit to wear bright yellow. I wish they would go back to the brown costume
xstryker - 10/12/2012, 6:32 AM
F*** Logan. I hope Cyclops kills his ass.
toco89 - 10/12/2012, 7:33 AM
They're still drawing Scott too skinny. Have been since the end of the Utopia titled series. He was built there, which makes sense. Slim is a nick name cuz he's long, he's still jacked.
BlindLemonShemp - 10/12/2012, 8:19 AM
You'd think Logan would have at least gave the guy a beer...

I drink all my beers with one eye closed now in memory of what the great cyclops used to be... then i walk to the nature reserve and piss on a wolverine...
superwolverine - 10/12/2012, 10:11 AM
I liked AvX ironically i started to like cyclops after this. Whats with the drawing of cyclops he looks like a 12-year-old.
MutantEquality - 10/12/2012, 10:53 AM
The thing that gets me is the writing is so terrible is seems like everyone I loved is a douche. Captain America, Iron Man and especially Wolverine seem so out of character and seem like people you want to hate. Is that scene really Logan getting drunk to slap Cyke on the risk for killing? Really? Wolverine? After changing the world for the better you are there to scold Cyke. Barf.
Also the fact that Scott is in prison after all the things that so many characters have done and he is the one in jail.
If you were going to turn the greatest Xmen of all time into a villian, do it in an epic and deserving way. Not in 3 issues. If you hold him accountable so should you hold others as well (Namor destroying a country but still a good guy.)
Now the Xmen are dissolved into nonsensical teams, Avengers rule the world and Wolverine now the biggest douche in the MU.
Somebody wake me when Cyke and the Xmen get their redemtion because I will not be reading these until it happens
CampBlood - 10/12/2012, 12:07 PM
i like scott's head gear. i wouldn't be against him using something like that in battle as a sort of bazooka visor
comicstocode - 10/12/2012, 12:28 PM
Wolverine giving another speech about right and wrong. Ain't that fresh.
ISeeStupidPeople - 10/12/2012, 12:45 PM
Someone should inform Wolverine that sitting like that doesn't make him look "cool," it makes him look like a [frick]ing cockgobbler.
MutantEquality - 10/12/2012, 1:31 PM
^^^^ Now thats funny
Harris1 - 10/12/2012, 2:42 PM
I'm off Marvel Comics for the time being. Iron Man was an ass in Civil War, Cap is an ass in A vs X, Cyke is a villan and wolverine a sanctimonious weakling. He's the face of the X-men. He's against killing and redemption. Get the Frick out of here. Marvel doesn't have a decent book other than FF and it looks like, with the creative change, the FF is going to shit. They [frick]ed up Spidey with brand new day and now they [frick]ed up everything else. There's not one likeable or truly heroic character in Marvel any more. Their movie universe is more enjoyable than their comics. At least DC stays true to their characters strengths. Marvel doesn't know what they are doing.
