Boom! Studios' INSURRECTION Being Brought To The Big Screen From Paramount
Described as a "sci-fi Spartacus", Boom! Studios' Insurrection is being brought to the big screen by Paramount Pictures. Hit the jump for more details on the premise of the film, as well as a list of those currently involved with the production.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Paramount are set to close a deal for a big screen adaptation of Insurrection; a Boom! Studios comic book series created by Blake Masters (who will also write the screenplay). Michael De Luca (Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance) and Matt Tolmach (The Amazing Spider-Man) are teaming up to the produce alongside Boom!'s Ross Richie. The site goes on to describe Insurrection as being, "set in a future where corporations are more powerful than governments and command their own armies. The armies consist of clones who, for decades, have been treated like a sub-class. That all changes when one man stands up and leads a revolution that has vast repercussions."
