The CW Orders Full Season Of ARROW

Despite a mixed reaction from SOME fans, the CW has given Arrow a full 22-episode season. The second episode scored an impressive 3.5 million viewers, so it should perhaps come as no surprise that Oliver Queen will be sticking around for the time being. Read on for details!

Depending on your opinion of Arrow, this will either make or ruin your day. According to TV Line, after just two episodes, the CW has made the decision to pick up the series for a full 22-episode run. That's about all the details we have right now, but after the series premiere became the network's most watched episode of a TV show in over three years, this isn't really all that surprising (especially after ratings dropped by only 15% by the second episode).

"mixed reaction" Wtf are you talking about? The only negative reaction was from you and 2 other guys. The majority liked it.
CaptainAmerica - 10/22/2012, 10:36 AM
Yup most reactions are good.
MarkJulian - 10/22/2012, 10:38 AM
No mixed reaction at all. Predominantly positive reviews for Arrow!
ironknight - 10/22/2012, 10:38 AM
How would it ruin your day? You don't HAVE to watch it.
PantherX - 10/22/2012, 10:41 AM
Gotta agree with the rest, I strangely enjoyed it.
indigobolt956 - 10/22/2012, 10:45 AM
Awesome
timotey - 10/22/2012, 10:46 AM
LOL, mixed reactions. Reaching much? I get you hate it but come on, the reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, both from fans and critics.
n1ghtw1ng2832 - 10/22/2012, 10:46 AM
Awesome show.
Stumblin - 10/22/2012, 10:46 AM
Could barely stomach the first episode. I gave up on DC and any shows they attempt to create. I'll wait on SHIELD.
Ranger14 - 10/22/2012, 10:48 AM
It has mixed reviews from a handful of people here. Not even a blip on the radar of 3.5 million viewers.
D117 - 10/22/2012, 10:48 AM
From what I've read and heard the show was received positively. I like this show, really don't understand some of hate behind it.
toco89 - 10/22/2012, 10:48 AM
The only negativity on here was from a few users who insisted on writing multiple comments, most of which were either baseless criticism, nitpicking, or just reiterating that they didnt like it and that basically it wasn't as good as a movie. Because most shows are?
HavocPrime - 10/22/2012, 10:50 AM
I like the show alot, thought I wouldn't but was surprised.
LorenzoVonMatterhorn93 - 10/22/2012, 10:52 AM
lol at ironknights comment. well it made my day, i genuinely enjoyed arrow's first two episodes.
Charlie2094 - 10/22/2012, 10:54 AM
Awesome! Hope it retains the same quality. Oh, and just to join in..."mixed" reaction? It has been critically successful, bar maybe one, or two, reviews on here. Has a 8.6 on imdb and most reviews praise the show. Look forward to seeing what other villains they introduce, looking forward to seeing how they handle Deadshot in the next episode.

1ST IRON MAN 3 NEWS/PICS/POSTER & NOW THIS?!?
Star Trek Full of WIN
MutantEquality - 10/22/2012, 11:01 AM
With this news I hope he turns into a hero. Haven't felt he was hero yet. Kinda felt like he was a killer in his dads name so far. Only thing negative I have to say is, How did he learn how to fight multiple enemies on an island by himself? I can see survivalism, archery, problem solver and Maybe even free running but the scene with the sticks and practicing on pipes? Come on.Maybe just an explanation is needed but it's too early to dismiss this entirely. I'll stay positive.
StrangerX - 10/22/2012, 11:04 AM
I will wait for the whole season to be finished then
jimpinto24 - 10/22/2012, 11:06 AM
I'm glad CW have given Arrow 22 episodes. Arrow is an awesome show!
Carne - 10/22/2012, 11:07 AM
Horrible writing, full of cliches and mediocre acting.

In my opinion that is.
DeadHubris - 10/22/2012, 11:07 AM
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah!
Dragun - 10/22/2012, 11:09 AM
I like it.
superotherside - 10/22/2012, 11:13 AM
Awesome, bring on the next episode!
fettastic - 10/22/2012, 11:15 AM
I haven't watched the second episode yet, but I thoght the first was pretty eye-rollingly bad. Maybe if it is revealed that Oliver Queen is an emotionless robot Amal's performance will make mroe sense.
novaprime - 10/22/2012, 11:19 AM
The Best Shows on tv in my Opinion are 1. Walking Dead, 2.Game of throwns, 3. Spartacus, 4.Arrow, 5.Falling Skies, 6. DR WHO
cabbie655 - 10/22/2012, 11:20 AM
The series have not ruined my day. I saw the pilot and the China White episode and found it to be very enjoyable. I will continue to check it out.
BruceLeroy - 10/22/2012, 11:21 AM
LOL at mixed reactions.

Glad it's getting a full season. The show most likely will be around for a while.
DarthTesla - 10/22/2012, 11:24 AM
Oh hell yeah!

Two episodes in and I already like it more than Smallville, and I watched 10 seasons of that.
Spideyguy94 - 10/22/2012, 11:28 AM
havent seen any of it and not really interested in it not that i think it looks bad just uninteresting especially after watching breaking bad dexter and the wire over the past few years
KNIGHT3000 - 10/22/2012, 11:29 AM
I just watched the 1st 2 episodes, and I can't believe I am going to say this but... It was AWESOME! I don't even like Green Arrow, but that show ROCKS HARD. Harder than I expected anyway.

Congratulations Steve, keep up the good work!
RorMachine - 10/22/2012, 11:29 AM
2nd ep was slightly better than the first, which puts it right around the rubbish but marginally entertaining at times mark:)
vermillion - 10/22/2012, 11:30 AM
Yeah, it was pretty much positive reviews all around, only place I saw negative ones was here... haha.

Awesome news.
BATMAN1X - 10/22/2012, 11:33 AM
Awesome Show
KNIGHT3000 - 10/22/2012, 11:34 AM
Those 1st 2 episodes made AMAZING SPIDER-MAN look like TWILIGHT. OH, right, a lot of you like TWILIGHT, Ok this should help:

Those 1st 2 episodes of ARROW made AMAZING SPIDER-MAN look like F#CKRY
QuanZen - 10/22/2012, 11:41 AM
it got my attention...not a bad show at all.
Sora - 10/22/2012, 11:50 AM
Mixed reactions?
Think you meant to say "despite some negative reactions"
ClaireLannister2016 - 10/22/2012, 11:54 AM
:D I enjoy this show for what it is. Just entertainment. I'm not expecting any masterpiece show like Sherlock or Breaking Bad.
LP4 - 10/22/2012, 11:55 AM
Take THAT JoshW and Ror!

skot888 - 10/22/2012, 11:56 AM
Yeah not seeing many mixed reactions, mainly positive! Bring on more Arrow!
lalosuper3001 - 10/22/2012, 11:57 AM
All the comments against Josh and
Ror will just make them hate the show more, and they will find even the smallest flaw to throw it back to your face since they have tons of free time. So careful what you say.
skot888 - 10/22/2012, 11:58 AM
@LP4

TBH Josh and Ror have been off a lot lately on most of their reviews, so another one doesn't surprise me. I think it's time to hang it up boys that or take a break get less jaded (because you clearly are getting there.) and come back refreshed.
darkspark - 10/22/2012, 11:59 AM
I gave up trying to bash the show. Not because it's good but because many people don't know what good is. They will support a mediocre show to their dying breaths because they are part of a majority who all believe the same thing they do.

Decent action sequences aside the acting is wooden. The writing is terrible and the characters are laughable overall. I'm sure it will go far on the CW many terrible shows do.
DCwanabe - 10/22/2012, 12:01 PM
Lol, mixed reactions.
KNIGHT3000 - 10/22/2012, 12:04 PM
Personally, I expected worse... Which is why I ended up liking it. It was better than I expected, I had faults, but I am interested in seeing more
ComfortablyNumb - 10/22/2012, 12:05 PM
Does anybody know where I can get an arrow that will break into somebodies bank acct and steal their money if I just shoot it into the wall of their office?? I'd like to do that and hope that they don't notice that it's there beeping and working hours after I shoot it there...
mrHJK - 10/22/2012, 12:10 PM
The pilot was just okay for me, but the newest episode was a huge improvement. So far, I'm digging Arrow despite minor complaints.
DCwanabe - 10/22/2012, 12:11 PM
Does anyone know who John Barrowman will be playing? I am super exited to see a Doctor Who actor on the show.
LP4 - 10/22/2012, 12:11 PM
@skot- yeah the thing that bugged me was, their lame reviews COULD have potentially turned away viewers who haven't even seen the show. That's why i hated their reviews well that and their reviews were dead wrong lol.

@JoshW- "mixed reactions"? More like "mixed reviews from comicbookmovie.com" LMAO
SUPERSHADOWBAT - 10/22/2012, 12:19 PM
Sorry, I didn't see mixed reaction or many negative reviews. Maybe just 2 or 3 negative reviews, the reaction to Arrow seems overwhelmingly positive. I'm glad it was picked up for a full season, now they can really move Oliver's story along.
docgl - 10/22/2012, 12:22 PM
Having been a fan of Green Arrow since he was a backup character in Detective comics This series is irritating. I have followed the evolution of Ollie for a long time and have enjoyed almost all of the incarnations up to this point. This is just Batman Begins reworked with names changed. It has no imagination and is not green Arrow.
