COMICS: An Iconic Superhero Returns From The Dead In AVENGERS #32

Brian Michael Bendis has killed many a superhero during his lengthy run on Marvel's stable of books featuring Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but one of 'em finally returns in this week's Avengers #32. Who is it? Well, you'll have to hit the jump to find out! [WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD]

That's right, 'The Wasp' is back (and just in time for Marvel Studios' planned Ant-Man movie). By the sounds of it, Janet didn't technically "die", although it certainly looked that way when Thor was forced to destroy her after the Skrulls turned her into a giant bomb in Secret Avengers. What really happened? Well, you'll have to pick up the issue to find out...

wow that art... her design is awful and those kisses with Thor and Cap look WAY too romantic! That is really awkward. Glad to have the character back but man thats messes up :)

she's been dead a while,well longer than most characters.

died in 2008 during the secret invasion came back in 2012.

Come on, lets not complain. We all knew she was either coming back someday or she was never dead in the first place and my money was always on the latter, so why the complaints? You guys have to admit that if we kept reading comics where no one ever died, we would start to realize that the stakes in these comics are never high enough and then thats what we would complain about. Yeah, heroes have to die in the comics or it becomes even more boring because we know theyll always make it out on top. Iconic characters dont just dissipate and never come back. Lets not start whinning.

Yay, Jan! Kissing the boys is totally in character for Jan. If I'd been "dead" for years I would kiss every hunky guy in sight, too. Now bring on The Wasp in the MCU!

Janet has always been a MAJOR flirt and her kissing all the fellas is completely within her character to do so. Also keep in mind these are 3 friends she has known for ages.

THIS is why agent coulson's death in the MCU is so very important gang. life and death mean nothing in the books, so we need some shred of integrity from the films.

The original female avenger is back! So excited!! :D Hope she's on the new relaunch Avengers marvel now team! I do agree it's a little weird to open mouth kiss Thor & Cap but hey she's been gone since 2009 & who knows how many years in the marvel universe... So she really missed her team-mates. Who cares, just be glad she's back! To the haters, Shut up! She's not useless. She's an iconic character that's been around since the 1960's. Lol...she's one that could've stayed dead. Of all the super powers you could have, SHRINKING has to be about the lamest. I would feel totally cheated if everyone else could do all this awesome shit and all I could do was shrink down to the size of an insect. Yeah. Off to save the world...hold on, gotta shrink first! Dumb. That's why Antman is so dumb and that movie is going to stink. Shrinking only works in comedies. Whatever.

He's just gonna come out of nowhere and start making out with all of the X-Men.
