The identity of "The Superior Spider-Man" may have already been revealed. We won't spoil it for you in this article, but click HERE at your own risk if you wish to find out who MIGHT be behind the mask in the Marvel NOW! series (just bear in mind that Dan Slott is a big fan of dropping red herrings...). Regardless, that didn't stop you guys coming out in full force to share your thoughts on this controversial topic and it's clear that you believe it will still be Peter Parker swinging his way around New York with a new costume and darker attitude. Ben Reilly wasn't too far behind in second place, but many of you brought up names like Miguel O'Hara and Harry Osborn in the comments section. Check out the results in full below and be sure to sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

miguel o harra has talons.. could be him or a relative of his..
jimpinto24 - 10/27/2012, 10:25 AM
I say Eddy Brock. Either way, I'm not picking up TSSM comics next year. I don't like Dan Slott's direction.
ACira - 10/27/2012, 10:33 AM
It's like Marvel's logic behind this was "Yay, Spider-Man celebrates half a century in comics this year, now it's time to [frick] him up as much as possible!"
SUPERBATSPIDERMAN - 10/27/2012, 10:37 AM
Peter Parker is the only real Spider-Man the rest are wannabes.
yellowtiger - 10/27/2012, 10:39 AM
Could be whoever Miles Morales counterpart in the Marvel Universe is or someone related in some way to him. SPOILER ALERT

Peter Parker was pretty shocked when he looked up Miles Morales on the internet at the end of Spider-Men.
DarthTesla - 10/27/2012, 10:42 AM
The Miguel O'Hara rumor sounds plausible. I base this only on the talons/claws.
LoudLon - 10/27/2012, 10:48 AM
@ACira -- nah, they celebrated his 50th early, back in the 90s when they [frick]ed him up with the insipid Clone Saga. :/
XavierLehnsherr - 10/27/2012, 10:49 AM
TOBEY GARFIELD
Darth258 - 10/27/2012, 11:02 AM
Well.. kinda pointless after the slipped tweet, but yet i'd have said Flash Thompson.
hope420 - 10/27/2012, 11:02 AM
For someone that always hates on Marvel Josh does alot of stories for them. I'm not complaining its nice to see a Marvel story where hes not bashing them.
rorstiel - 10/27/2012, 11:17 AM
They need to just hook MJ and Peter up again and retcon "One More Day". This is the worst direction a character has taken in a very long time.
Robert - 10/27/2012, 11:22 AM
I like Miguel from Spider-Man 2099. He is more vicious and has talons.
REDSTORM - 10/27/2012, 12:32 PM
I think people misunderstood the question and voted for Peter Parker being the superior (as in better) Spider-Man instead of who is Spider-Man in the new title "Superior Spider-Man".
REDSTORM - 10/27/2012, 12:35 PM
And Hope420, Josh doesn't hate Marvel... where the hell are you getting that from? He doesn't hate Marvel! He has an unhealthy obsession with Cyclops and Peter Parker(don't ban me Mr. Wilding! :P).
TheRose - 10/27/2012, 1:21 PM
Kraven!
TheSoulEater - 10/27/2012, 2:05 PM
Parker duh

But I like Ben Riley (Scarlet)
pieralnett - 10/27/2012, 3:21 PM
I still think it is Peter even with the tweet. I doubt Slott is stupid enough to spoil something so big, but whatever.
Originator2000 - 10/27/2012, 3:55 PM
I think it's someone we haven't met yet...
awesomem131 - 10/27/2012, 4:41 PM
I still believe it's Peter Parker...and i will continue to do so until i'm proven wrong.
darkdroid499 - 10/27/2012, 10:29 PM
If Marvel want to bring Miguel O'Hara back, then just give him his own damn book! -_-
RAWRG - 10/27/2012, 11:52 PM
still pretty curious about the end of Spider-Men hmmm...perhaps miles morales???
spidermanfan2099 - 10/28/2012, 1:59 AM
I'm all for the Miguel change, sounds like a neat little idea (my user name prob says enough though!). Maybe it'll be a switchup, throwing Petey into the 2099-verse.

There's only so much they can do with Peter, let him have a break, he'll be back at some point. If they'd kept on the same old beaten track with the character instead of 'One More Day', we'd be bored shitless by now as he got stale and boring... I was already getting bored by that point OMD kept me reading.
PeterDarker - 10/28/2012, 5:37 AM
Peter is the only true Spidey, but I do miss Miggy.
Lightsplasher - 10/29/2012, 2:34 AM
@NerdAlert : I see you noticed too ...
I'm sure it's a character we've already saw ...
But who ? ....
CorndogBurglar - 10/29/2012, 9:07 AM
lol, Flash Thompson doesn't have any legs.
Onslaught - 10/29/2012, 9:16 AM
Doesn't make sense to be Flash Thompson. He already has a book "Venom". Also won't be Peter Parker so it is either (1) Phil Urich (Hobgoblin) or (2) Alpha. My money is on Phil Urich b/c he has the uncle ben and same job Parker use to work. Also they brought back the original Hobgoblin so he needs a new persona.
CorndogBurglar - 10/29/2012, 9:22 AM
Not that there's anything wrong with having no legs. I'm just saying...it would be pretty weird. His book would have to be called "The No-Legged Spider-Man."

I mean, can anyone honestly picture someone in a spidey suit with no legs swinging around the city?
askdgas - 10/30/2012, 12:29 PM
If new spider-man is this Miguel character then I think it is this guy
