Marvel's IRON MAN 3 Will Be Released Earlier In The UK

During an IMAX screening of Skyfall earlier today, a trailer was shown for Iron Man 3. Yes, it looked incredible on the big screen, but that's not the point! You see, it confirmed something long suspected by UK fans. Once again, they won't have to wait until the US release date to see the latest Marvel Studios movie! While American prints of the trailer have the "Next Summer" and "May 3, 2013" tags on them, the UK version has "Next April" and "April 2013". It seems like a safe bet at this point that British fans will be able to see the threequel on April 26th - the same date that The Avengers was released. The international version of the trailer can be viewed in the usual place below. Stay tuned for further details!

Many thanks to @Marvel_Freshman for the banner above.

Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

NO!
TheTaskmaster - 10/27/2012, 2:04 PM
Wtf man all of these characters were born and bred in America. We better get at least 1 Phase 2 movie first haha. If Captain America 2 comes out first in the UK heads will roll :P
SuperDude001 - 10/27/2012, 2:08 PM
YES! See this is the plus side to living in the UK, cause I usually hate that we hate that we get US DVDS/Films/TV shows later but Marvel does a nice thing and give some of their movies to us a little earlier :3 It sorta levels things out
Niuhll - 10/27/2012, 2:08 PM
Guessed as much, all expect Cap have come out a week earlier here, most blockbusters seem to be doing so lately, not sure why.

I think America just gets it a week after Europe so they can advertise longer and build hype, but i don't know.
Tony93 - 10/27/2012, 2:12 PM
at least will have estimates about how good they are and critics

Joe6Pack74 - 10/27/2012, 2:27 PM
Ohh I see this some kinda twisted social justice for us kicking Britain's ass in the revolutionary war.
DarkGrifter - 10/27/2012, 2:28 PM
What's that America? Sorry, I can't hear you over our free healthcare ;)
INSTANTJUSTICE - 10/27/2012, 2:29 PM

They don't trust Americans to review the films before the rest of the world.
FOOM - 10/27/2012, 2:29 PM

good news cuz usually someone puts a cam version on torrent and it's enough to tide me over for the next week or two.
billytwohats - 10/27/2012, 2:31 PM
I live in the uk but I won't be seeing it in the first week but I'm glad I've got the option. Yeah you better release all your movies in the uk first or we'll take the colonies back. :p
JordanKing - 10/27/2012, 2:33 PM
Yanks' gonna hate.
marvel72 - 10/27/2012, 2:33 PM
@ IM53

we got the avengers blu-ray five days before america as well.

you never know you might.
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 10/27/2012, 2:33 PM
Marvel is [frick]ing retarded. You release it in a country that does not provide the biggest amount of profit, idiots.... That is a brilliant plan right there!

You can bet your sweet ass people will have already seen it and have a DVD of it playing in their Blu-Ray players by the time it comes to the U.S. Smart move, guys, smart move.
CoughCough - 10/27/2012, 2:34 PM
Why can't they just be fair and release it everywhere at the same time? :/
Moriarty117 - 10/27/2012, 2:36 PM
They want to release it before the soccer season starts in May. Movies in Europe tend to do better in Late April than in Early May. Stupid, but predictable and fiscally responsible on Marvel's part.
95 - 10/27/2012, 2:39 PM
Do us Americans get an additional after-credit scene, or what? I have no problem with overseas receiving the film first. However, the irking part is the fact that I'll have to take a break from the Internet (or at least ComicBookMovie and other film sites) so that I don't spoil all the in-depth details. You see! I'm thinking about my CBM community here, I'll be missing you guys :P
marvel72 - 10/27/2012, 2:40 PM
releasing the avengers earlier in other countries didn't hurt the overall box office takings.

the avengers $1,511,757,910

domestic $623,537,910
foreign $888,400,000

everyone knows the avengers would do well in america it a harder sell everywhere else.
billytwohats - 10/27/2012, 2:44 PM
The football season doesn't start in May it finishes at the end of May.
soberchimera - 10/27/2012, 2:49 PM
"Yeah you better release all your movies in the uk first or we'll take the colonies back."
ImnotDaredevil - 10/27/2012, 3:04 PM
No 'us & them' , cash will leave all our hands for this at some point;)
billytwohats - 10/27/2012, 3:04 PM
Can't believe how serious people are taking this. I realise people love movies and are hyped for a release but to get upset about this. Jesus H Christ on a motorbike.
Cooky - 10/27/2012, 3:08 PM
Yeah, we get it a week early, woop.

They'll change the name to Iron Man 3 assembled, give us less of a movie, and when its time for home release we'll get bent over and raped. As we sit in a corner sobbing afterwards the only thing we'll be offered to dry our tears with will be a single disc DVD with less features than than Kristen Stewart's acting.

yeah, we win.
RobLiefeldFan - 10/27/2012, 3:28 PM
LMAO!!! Yanks really gonna hate lol, it really doesn't matter if he was not created in the UK it's still cant wait to watch it though, lemme be a troll and say yanks gonna hate lol
Maximus101 - 10/27/2012, 3:28 PM
Absolutely ridiculous, they have got almost every major movie this year earlier than north America. It's not that hard to release it everywhere at once, I'm sick of these timed releases.
Maximus101 - 10/27/2012, 3:30 PM
@robliefeld Brits are very annoying and are mouthy. I'm not even american and I'm saying this lol
Tymminator - 10/27/2012, 3:31 PM
No big deal. It doesn't change how much I want to see it, and it will be cool to hear what fellow comic fans from across the pond have to say.
SageMode - 10/27/2012, 3:40 PM
Not surprised. We better get some exclusive compensation, or else...... lol.
ManOfKrypton - 10/27/2012, 3:45 PM
Thanks Marvel :D
marvel72 - 10/27/2012, 3:47 PM
@ maximus101

every nation on the planet has annoying & mouthy people not just britain, where are you from? :D
marvel72 - 10/27/2012, 3:51 PM
@ im53

high five my good man.

@ venom007

well if the extra scene is what you got at the end of the avengers,i think i can wait to see that on the blu-ray release.
StarSpangledBruce - 10/27/2012, 3:52 PM
Lucky UKnians!
Toasty - 10/27/2012, 4:08 PM
Good, i'm sick of Americans getting everything first usually, although i can't see why they just don't release it everywhere at the same time.
Mego - 10/27/2012, 4:21 PM
If you look at World Wide Box Office its the US that makes up around 50% of the entire gross.
I'm getting sick of this suck UK ass crap!

Let them make their own damn movies and premiere them!
