New York. NY — November 9, 2012 — This February, Cyclops is back in full force in Uncanny X-Men #1, kicking off the all-new ongoing series from the blockbuster creative team of writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Chris Bachalo! As part of Marvel NOW!, Uncanny X-Men joins a number of titles that will take the Marvel Universe in an exciting all-new direction, as the industry’s top creators join the top Super Heroes to deliver all-new ongoing series, great for new and lapsed readers alike!

The true flagship book of the X-Men returns. In the wake of the Phoenix, the world has changed and is torn on exactly what Cyclops and his team of X-Men are – visionary revolutionaries or dangerous terrorists? Whatever the truth, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Magneto, and Magik are out in the world gathering up new mutants and redefining the name Uncanny X-Men.

"What Brian and Chris have planned for Cyclops’ team in the post-'Avengers VS. X-Men' landscape is nothing short of its adjective, 'uncanny'," said Axel Alonso, Editor In Chief, Marvel Entertainment. "Mutantkind has been going through a reEvolution over the past couple years. The pressing question now is, who will lead them into the future?"

"Uncanny X-Men will be the one-stop shop for these very important characters in the mutant [corner of the] Marvel Universe and the Marvel Universe proper," said writer Brian Michael Bendis in an interview with Marvel.com. "I'm very lucky that I get to write All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men at the same time. I can examine this fascinating part of the Marvel Universe from vastly different angles. I can't think of a time where the mutant part of the Marvel Universe has been more exciting. Every character is so complex and there are so many characters interacting. Literally anything could happen."

Each issue of Uncanny X-Men includes a code for a free digital copy on the Marvel Comics app (for iPhone®, iPad®, iPad Touch® & Android devices). Additionally, each issue of Uncanny X-Men features special augmented reality content available exclusive through the Marvel AR app – including cover recaps, behind the scenes features and more that add value to your reading experience at no additional cost.

"Not only does every book with the Marvel NOW! logo feature a new superstar creative team and blockbuster story, but they also come with all-new incentives for our retailer partners," explained David Gabriel, Senior Vice-President of Sales, Marvel Entertainment.. "We want to make sure every comic shop nationwide is fully stocked to meet the high demand we’re already seeing for Marvel NOW! And want to make sure their voices are heard throughout this exciting time. Stay tuned for more news on how Marvel will be working directly with retailers to make sure our programs address their needs."

An all-new direction! An all-new team! All-new threats! This is Uncanny X-Men NOW! This February, Brian Michael Bendis and Chris Bachalo redefine what it means to be a mutant in Uncanny X-Men!

Besides that goofy ass hood Cyclops has now, I'm loving everything else about this book.
DarthTesla - 11/9/2012, 9:01 PM
I don't give a shit, Mags looks badass. I am all about classic Magneto, but something about this just looks cool.

Bachalo's one of my all time favorites. I just don't get the hate. Some people treat him like he's Liefeld.

I'm not really feeling the art or Cyclop's new costume.

It's really weird seeing Cyclops and Magneto on the same team.

That's Emma Frost to the left of Scott? I didn't recognize her with more clothes on. :P
Durango95 - 11/9/2012, 11:10 PM
No love for Bachalo? What gives?
superpooper - 11/9/2012, 11:20 PM
With all the stupid things going on in the Marvel Universe lately it finally looks like someone had a good idea.

@Gambit89

I said the same about Mike Allred, and the amount of butthurt thrown at me was staggering. Opinions are like assholes; everybody has one. The only problem is some assholes keep shitting all over the place.

cyke's new suit is alright, i actually like the x visor though not sold on the color.. and if he's already in red does that mean that magneto will not be in his traditional colors? hmmmm... interesting...

Gambit89 & loki668. Two people tripping their tits off on their crack pipes. Seriously, lads... No [frick]ing clue.

marvel72 - 11/10/2012, 4:48 AM
the artwork is awesome as well,the way bachalo lays out his panels is so different to everyone else.
loki668 - 11/10/2012, 6:19 AM
@jimoakley666

I actually like Bachalo's art. I just don't like Allred's. Sounds like you're hitting the sensitivity pipe a little hard if you can't handle a differing opinion. At least I have enough of a "[frick]ing clue" to realize that everyone isn't going to like the same artists that I like. When you're done twisting your nipples over your unwarranted outrage, you might realize that.

Lord Loki has spoken
jimoakley666 - 11/10/2012, 7:00 AM
Handle it? What? Ha ha. Oh, yeah, you're opinion is... it's just too much for me... Oh, the pain. Ha ha. You really are on crack. And what's all this crap about nipples? And the "Lord Loki has spoken"? Ha ha ha. Grow up.
ATrueHero1987 - 11/10/2012, 9:09 AM
SN: How y'all like Marvel NOW so far. I read the reviews for Deadpool & Iron Man on IGN. Deadpool got a good review. Iron Man didn't.
malschla - 11/10/2012, 9:10 AM
That's not Emma, is it? I assumed it was Magik. Those three front and center of the cover were the three who decided to start the new Extinction team.
MutantEquality - 11/10/2012, 9:12 AM
visionary revolutionaries or
dangerous terrorists?

Visionary Revolutionaries. What an awesome thing to be called. Hell yeah. I was so not going to pick this up but with Cyke up front and with an agenda I am down. Let's win this for mutant kind!
MutantEquality - 11/10/2012, 9:31 AM
Change the world as a man with God like powers and people with try to tear you down and stop you solely out of fear.
Change the world as a man, a leader and a symbol for a greater good.... People can't help but follow and take up the cause. Someday we will see the celebration of freedom for mutant kind.
Lead by Cyclops as Racer X!! Lmao
LordHuck - 11/10/2012, 10:23 AM
Everything about this seems great, with the HUGE exception of Cyclops's shitty new Visor/Cowl.
LordHuck - 11/10/2012, 10:47 AM
ckal

They already did that in The Ultimate U.
jimoakley666 - 11/10/2012, 11:49 AM
@Gambit89 - Yes, you are.
figuresmaniac - 11/10/2012, 11:53 AM
Magneto head with the body of Sabretooth?
xstryker - 11/10/2012, 12:15 PM
Team Scott, gonna buy this, but worried that Bendis will screw this up. Would also prefer a artist more suited to the presumably dark tone of the book.
toco89 - 11/10/2012, 2:31 PM
They can't see.
MutantEquality - 11/10/2012, 2:50 PM

@jimoakley666

Your best arguments involve people being on crack and an "I know you are but what am I" logic. It's fine to have different taste in artists, but to insult someone for disagreeing with you shows, both, you immaturity and your inability to discuss the differences with any intelligence. I could sit here and insult you and throw in the "ha ha"'s but I'll leave the infantile responses to you. The "Lord Loki has spoken" is something another user on the site posted to one of my replies and I adopted it in honor of the compliment. It's not up to me to explain the "nipple" comment to you, but I will as you seem to be struggling with it. You appear to "get off" on your unwarranted outrage and the childish and churlish insults you use in replying. I would have been happy to discuss my reasons with you for not liking Allred's art (which is, one would suppose, what FANS of comic books and cbms SHOULD do), but you appear to be satisfied merely hurling insults and pedantic tantrums much in the same way that a monkey throws feces. I still bear no ill will as that would make your words weapons, which they can only be if I CHOOSE to make them so. The only truth you stated was the phrase "grow up" to which I can only hope that you are capable of following your own advice.

Lord Loki has spoken

jimoakley666 - 11/11/2012, 4:48 AM
@loki668 - Sorry, I got bored a third of the way through reading that.
loki668 - 11/11/2012, 2:01 PM
No....you read it. You just have no reply. We're done.
