Marcos Martin has done some incredible work on Amazing Spider-Man, so it should come as no great surprise that Marvel chose him to do the twelfth and final 50th anniversary variant for this Christmas' Amazing Spider-Man #700. While the events on the cover obviously aren't indicative of what happens within that mysterious issue, rumour has it that it will see Doctor Octopus get his ultimate revenge on Peter Parker before Superior Spider-Man launches in January with someone else behind the mask.
