The second arc of Kieron Gillen and Greg Land's Iron Man will take the Armoured Avenger into outer space. It will explore how Tony Stark's confrontation with the Phoenix in Avengers Vs. X-Men changed his beliefs and leads directly into how the hero becomes a member of Brian Michael Bendis and Steve McNiven's Guardians of the Galaxy. "The second you put Tony in space, it makes sense for all sorts of reasons," Gillen revealed earlier today in an interview with various press outlets. "In terms of going forward, my current conception is, much like the opening line of Hawkeye — Tony Stark is a member of Guardians of the Galaxy, [the solo Iron Man series] is what he does when he’s not with the Guardians of the Galaxy." Asked whether or not we'll see Uncanny X-Men's Unit appear in the arc, the writer remained coy, but did tease another notable appearance. "Death’s Head is my Boba Fett." Are you guys excited for this arc?
