Land's artwork is actually very nice on this one. And that armour is one of the coolest I've seen in a while. Very cool.

BlackFlash IMO yes.

3rd all new x-men
4th uncanny avengers
5th fantastic four

Greg Land is fvcking awful! See how many celebrities and porn faces are in that issue when it hits

I think the stealth armor should be a small robot that can be controled at distance like in iron man armored adventures.

@blackflash that new Thor series is mind-bogglingly beautiful and damn near one of the craziest stories I've read in comics!!! Haha such a good series everyone should give it a try its like good drugs except it's Thorrrrr :) lol

On the other hand this new Iron Man series is pretty awesome right now new armor is BEASTLY definitely feeling the movie vibe with each issue but it works for iron man and Kieron Gillen is writing this!!! Nuff said lol

Gillens writing has been great, but greg lands art is terrible. Any comic book artist that traces porn should'nt be an artist
Dragonpiece - 12/2/2012, 8:03 AM
I'm gonna try again when the new arc starts, but I really hated issue 1. Gillens writing is good, but Land's art is overshadowing it.

i'm getting pretty jaded with iron man...

god dammit marvel, why are you putting him front and center on everything. it's ruining my enjoyment for his own series even.

@blackster -

iron man/robert downey jr. is the main reason people know about the avengers and are fans of them in the past 4 years. he's a cash cow with the one-liners. they're gonna milk that cow 'til there's nothing left. they struck when the iron(pun) was hot and this is just the way it's going so far. don't worry, things change all the time

Right Iron Man is popular as Spider-Man & Wolverine(probably a little more than Wolverine)

As for this series, I read issue #1. It's ok, not as bad as other people are saying. I love Greg Land's artwork.
Spideyguy94 - 12/2/2012, 9:39 AM
@Marvel87 I'd say spidey is number 1 and iron man is just behind him in terms of popularity for marvel characters.
ATrueHero1987 - 12/2/2012, 9:42 AM
Yea, I know Spidey is #1 but Iron Man is one of Marvel's top characters now. He's JUST as popular as Spider-Man & Wolverine.
MGS - 12/2/2012, 10:07 AM
The biggest problem I have with Land's work besides his obvious trace and copy style is his creepy ass faces. So many times they look so out of place and emotionally oblivious to the situation, but I guess that's what you get when you trace them off of commercial print ads.
FlashhGordon27 - 12/2/2012, 10:43 AM
I didn't mind #1, but #2 sucked, so I'm hoping this is better, 'cause so far this series is in the danger zone, I may take it off my pull list if it doesn't get better.
CharlesBryant97 - 12/2/2012, 12:26 PM

1. Spider-man

2. Hulk

3. Wolverine

4. Iron Man

GLprime2814 - 12/3/2012, 12:32 AM
