In this first lettered preview of Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos' Superior Spider-Man #6, Jester and Screwball play one heck of a prank on Mayor J. Jonah Jameson (much to the delight of the villainous Otto Octavius). However, it's Spidey that they now have their sights on...

Happy to finally see Ramos return ! Otto's laugh seems really creepy ...
DioFoRio - 3/14/2013, 11:04 AM
Ramos' art has some good energy
astromerc - 3/14/2013, 11:11 AM
I like Ramos's art very kinetic anime style. I remember doing some samples for marvel back in 93 they would not look @ the anime stuff. Glad Mad and others have made it work.

You know what I am man enough to say this, and that I was wrong about this series. This series is actually entertaining and really funny. I am impressed just how methodical Doc Ovk has been as Spider-Man and is actually making his job as Spider-Man much easier than it is for Peter.

Inferior Writer=Inferior comic.
Dan Slutt and his mindswitch story. He still thinks its a great idea! hahahahaha!
Dragonpiece - 3/14/2013, 11:24 AM
I prefer Avenging Spider-Man, but so far with no signs of Peter, looks like we are in for a good issue!
RadicalDuck - 3/14/2013, 11:34 AM
Ock/Spidey used lethal force?!
jerryblake - 3/14/2013, 11:35 AM
@Nomis
yeah, it must be some generation thing. I hate this kind of art.
hope420 - 3/14/2013, 11:40 AM
Bring back Crimson Ramos!!!!

Story-wise there is nothing wrong with this. Doc Ock as Spidey is probably one of the more innovative things to be done with the character in a long time. Would I want to see a movie based around this concept? Not really because of the scarcity of movies (1 every few years). But as with a monthly concept I think it works. And I think Slott has done a great job with it. We all know it won't be permanent, so I really don't see a problem with it. When you've had characters being written about monthly for as many years as Spiderman has, it's tough to come up with something that hasn't already been done. I applaud the man for his efforts.

I don't see it as anime per say. But I do see it as some type of animated style. I would say more disney than anime.

@Nomis Why'd you change your avi man?!!! John Amos circa Good Times...Good Memories!
jerryblake - 3/14/2013, 12:14 PM

jerryblake - 3/14/2013, 12:26 PM

Good comedy.

Even Gusto remember this movie.
Drinks every time the swear jar scene is on.
Rewind it a lot.

randomdude - 3/14/2013, 1:18 PM
Nice artwork.

Love Superior Spider-Man so far.
siggisuperman - 3/14/2013, 1:22 PM
So far this has been one of the best Marvel NOW titles. Every issue has left me wanting more.
mctrinket - 3/14/2013, 1:24 PM
I love that artwork. It's cool.
BenderDickCumPatch - 3/14/2013, 1:39 PM
Awesom
ACira - 3/14/2013, 1:51 PM
I think this art looks goofy as hell. I mean I'm not an anime fan anyway, but I can at least appreciate it for what it is if it's done well. This? It's the type of art Disney would reject for being too goofy.

And from the previews I've seen, Slott can't write for shit either.
jerryblake - 3/14/2013, 1:51 PM
@Gusto

It's like a game. Example. Drink every time someone in the movie say Hi.

Then put The Room into dvd player.
Blackout.

ACira - 3/14/2013, 1:52 PM
At least it's not as bad as that other guy who drew eyebrows that were like half the size of each character's head.
UVLantern - 3/14/2013, 2:51 PM
@ Nomis I couldn't agree with you more. The Marvel outwork in almost all of their titles are terrible. It really is like they're not even trying.
OdinsBeard - 3/14/2013, 4:38 PM
i have a love/hate relationship with Ramos' style. i like the designs and wish i could draw that well but for some reason i don't like it in comics. his art-style in animation might be cool.
Haven - 3/14/2013, 6:26 PM
Can't stand Ramos' art.
OtakuPapi - 3/14/2013, 6:50 PM
All the superior love on here makes my heart happy. Good to see people embracing a awesome book and new take on Spidey!
Khan - 3/14/2013, 9:03 PM
i'm kinda done with marvel. i mean every 2 months they release "a story that will change the marvel universe.. forever"
FlashhGordon27 - 3/16/2013, 1:11 AM
Personally not a fan of Ramos' art, but this series has been great so far, loving Doc Ock as Spidey, part of me doesn't want Parker to return. I wouldn't mind them bringing back peter so it's like Firestorm in DC, then you have 2 great minds with one body, but that's just my opinion.
