Following three very mysterious teasers, MTV Geek has now unveiled The Private Eye; a new creator owned series from Brian K. Vaughan (Saga) and Marcos Martin (Amazing Spider-Man). The premise of the series is as follows: "Set in a future where privacy is considered a sacred right and everyone has a secret identity, The Private Eye is a serialized sci-fi detective story for mature readers." However, it will not be available in print and is instead now available to download from www.PanelSyndicate.com. You can get it for free or help contribute towards making future issues a reality. Vaughan explains all about this "pay what you want" series below.

"It's just old-school comics, words and pictures, available in multiple formats and languages, yours to own forever, all DRM-free, whatever the hell that means, for any price you think is fair. Sorry, no plans for it to ever be in print. 100% of anything you pay stays with the creators (us!), and helps fund the rest of a planned 10-issue series that Marcos and I are very proud of, a mystery set in our future, when everyone will have a secret identity. No powers, but lots of masks. And dig those colors by Muntsa..."
