I have been severely underwhelmed by this series. But I made it to issue 8, so I might as well ride it out.

@ckal: Ha! Nice.
HeadPool420 - 5/24/2013, 11:36 AM
Nice a Marvel cover that's not just someone or a bunch of people just standing there posing. His art always grabbed my eyes!!! Remember Ash? Amazing art! And his run on Daredevil with Smith writing? Wow!!!!

@SteveRogersSon: Say! What's the ReeveRules all about? Are you anti-MOS?
DioFoRio - 5/24/2013, 11:39 AM
Joey can still draw man! Wish he would do a book again. He did a mean Batman too.
terminatorlives - 5/24/2013, 11:54 AM

Oh... deadly ribbons -.-
JoeQ is such a good artist... kinda pisses me off he's only drawing covers. Also, not too fond of some of his ideas, but mad skills nonetheless.

Does anyone else really not give a shit about this Spawn character showing up in Marvel?
TheClemster - 5/24/2013, 12:06 PM

My stance on "event books" is this: You get three issues. Three. If'n I ain't hooked by then, I'm done. I'm not playing the sunk cost game anymore, of "well I've gotten this many issues, may as well finish it." I've done that with too many of these and I ain't gonna do it anymore. These books are $4 a piece (more in some cases). If I'm dropping $40 on something, there better be a damn good reason. I think if more of us did that, they'd finally start getting the message on these things. But it's hard to dispute their claims that people like these things if the books are consistently in the top 10 every month (and they are).

crawley - 5/24/2013, 12:58 PM
Age of Ultron is the only Marvel book I'm buying right now. I was reading Thunderbolts with Deadpool, Elektra, Punisher, but after 6 issues that book turned so unintelligible you'd think it came from DC editorial.
exe - 5/24/2013, 12:58 PM
Didn't bother to pick this up.
Simonsonrules - 5/24/2013, 1:17 PM
@Jim lol. Nope. Cover looks like a "Deathmate" Valiant/Image X-O/Spawn crossover.
yingyangpalms - 5/24/2013, 1:18 PM
@crawley I know what you mean. I went from buying hundreds of dollars in comics a month from the big 2 for over a decade to $0.00 in 2011.
Now even when I torrent the stuff for free I can't even get into them. I look at a few pages from each one, tell myself I'm glad I no longer waste money on them and delete them.
To me the best comics out right now are from Valiant, Image and other indies.
yingyangpalms - 5/24/2013, 1:24 PM
@jimoakley666 The character was stolen from Todd by Gaiman because some Judges are absolute idiots.

Judges actually ruled the Medieval Spawn was not a derivative of Spawn, (Meaning to this Judge Rainbow Batman or Red-Hulk wouldnt be derivatives Of Batman and Hulk) then the same idiot actually ruled Tiffany and all Warrior Angels are derivatives of Angela.

So I think Todd gave Gaiman Angela for Medieval Spawn.

Todd mustve had some very bad lawyers.

Despite that fact that Quesada is a god-awful storyteller, I do have to admit he is a very talented artist.
marvel72 - 5/24/2013, 3:20 PM
i thought neil gaiman was writing issue 10.
marvel72 - 5/24/2013, 4:11 PM
@ marvels1stfan

so you have something in common with iron man 3.
marvel72 - 5/24/2013, 4:18 PM
here is a link to an article saying gaiman is writing issue 10 not bendis.

terminatorlives

lmfao Age of Ulton started off great, now it sucks hard.
osideous - 5/24/2013, 6:32 PM
and why does Angela's sword look like a big ass nail?
osideous - 5/24/2013, 6:34 PM
better yet is she going to sew them a big ass afghan?
loki668 - 5/25/2013, 12:09 AM
Why does Steve Rogers only get promoted in alternate realities? Also, why is it always a promotion? Maybe, for once, he could get busted down for punching out Nick Fury or something. Just imagine.....Corporal America: Super Soldier! He'd peel the shit out of those potatoes!
GhostZillaRider - 5/25/2013, 10:51 AM
I'm with @Crawley... I'm going to finish what I've started, but this series has been underwhelmingly bad. The best part of the series, as of issue #8, was when Wolverine killed Pym, and I like Pym. The rest of the series has been uninspired, at best. Bendis is a crap writer who, in my opinion, ruins everything that he gets his hands on. At least now I know to stay far away from anything with his name on it....
AdamX - 5/25/2013, 1:10 PM
It'd be 1st LT America if he was ever demoted.... lol
loki668 - 5/25/2013, 11:13 PM
@AdamX
He could get busted even lower if he did something extreme like, say, take a shit on the White House lawn and then wipe his ass with the President's face! Corporal America: Polishing the shit out of those latrines!!!
niknik - 5/27/2013, 6:47 PM
He should have been forced to stick to art chores and not have been allowed to flush the entire 616 down the toilet.
