Peter Dinklage Spotted On The Set Of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

We've seen Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage rocking an impressive moustache in a photo posted by Bryan Singer on his Twitter account, but now a couple of photos from the Montreal set seem to confirm that his character will be based in the 1970s rather than the apocalyptic future.

Peter Dinklage has been spotted heading to the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past (hence why he's wearing a pair of Crocs in the first image) in Montreal, seemingly confirming that his character - widely believed to be Sentinels creator Bolivar Trask - will be part of the 1970s storyline rather than the future timeline. It's the moustache which has led many fans to speculate that he'll be playing Trask and the fact that this impressive bit of facial hair makes him look almost exactly like the comic book version of the character certainly backs up previous reports. What do you guys think?

Oh Man... I don't remember a fat starsh wearing midget in the DOFP storyline.
MrNiklander - 5/26/2013, 4:35 AM
Ah wasn't Trask featured in Xmen 3?!?!
Not picking on or anything but is it confirmed that X3 is non canon?!!?
UltimateTypeface - 5/26/2013, 4:35 AM
Im saying his starsh is fat for the sensitive kooks.
MitchConner - 5/26/2013, 4:39 AM
Tyrion is the man! Ill watch this movie just because he's in it. Even though I know its goanna suck since Singer is directing...:(
GeekyCheekyChic - 5/26/2013, 4:46 AM
@niklander
Singer and Fox- are not "counting" X3 or Origins Wolverine... they are going with the magical eraser of films and those 2 films apparently don't "count"anymore. Funny though because in The Wolverine- Logan is dealing with Jean's death.
If only they could do that with First Class- so that maybe we could actually get THE FIRST X-MEN CLASS.
UltimateTypeface - 5/26/2013, 4:46 AM
why cant they just give the comic book stories a chance?

I mean - this character is not I the storyline. Why do they need to bring in a midgit?

I like midgets but there is no midget in this story!!
MitchConner - 5/26/2013, 4:50 AM
@ultimatetypeface lol.. "I like midges but there is no midgets in this story "

Lol...hey I like Mexicans, but I don't about any Mexicans in it either...

Funniest damn comment on this board...I like midgets, like they are not human. ..love it Cartman!
deamon - 5/26/2013, 5:06 AM
In X-Men 3 was Trask, but his first name wasn't said, even in credits it was ,,TRASK BILL DUKE". So it could be Larry Trask, son of Bolivar.
By the way, Dinklage's face at this photos looks exactly like Bolivar http://www.uncannyxmen.net/images/article/sentinels01.jpg

mgeoff88 - 5/26/2013, 6:09 AM
I figured he was playing Bolivar Trask. The mustache is a dead giveaway.

@JoeMomma Lol! With a great mustache comes great free mustache rides also. :P
DarthMauve - 5/26/2013, 6:11 AM
Giving the Tyrion stinkeye to the photogrpaher in the 2nd pic :)
DarthMauve - 5/26/2013, 6:15 AM
I guess Bolivar Trask being a little person would explain why he builds the Sentinels so large.
Foolkiller - 5/26/2013, 6:23 AM
Crocs are remarkably comfy.
xXkryptoniteXx - 5/26/2013, 6:27 AM
@niklander

After first class things well change in the xmen universe. There are so many questions on what happe. And especially with the continuity so I expect the same with this. Another thing x3 is shit that I won't even watch it ever again, such as waste from the expectation it had with x2.
Horsemanofwar - 5/26/2013, 6:27 AM
This movie was already jam packed with amazing actors, and now adding Dinklage to the cast! This film is gonna be insane!
MrChuff - 5/26/2013, 6:27 AM
@Neobaggins - that gif is fvckin awesome. Thank for you giving me the first major laugh of what I consider the morning after my shifts :)
gambgel - 5/26/2013, 6:29 AM
yeah, thats the concept, I guess. Dont know about the rest, but I f**** love it!
Hexagram - 5/26/2013, 6:33 AM
@neobaggins

:-D What is that from?

2nd pic: Just go ahead and photoshop a 357 magnum in place of the cup in his right hand. :-D

lvcl - 5/26/2013, 6:40 AM
With that moustache he could play Forge

McMeatFace - 5/26/2013, 6:41 AM
That is some perfectly quaffed hair. Very nice!
Hexagram - 5/26/2013, 6:45 AM
He's looks like a cross between Bronson and Eastwood! :-D Looking badass sir!
xinstituto - 5/26/2013, 6:52 AM
Ok.. and he is the father of the Trask in X3.
OdinsMissingEye - 5/26/2013, 7:04 AM
I want to see Dinklage play Rocket Racoon and not any CGI crap, have him in a full body suit like an Ewok.
Newbus - 5/26/2013, 7:14 AM
What? Still no Sentinels?

Snakeofdoom - 5/26/2013, 7:32 AM
@OdinsMissingeye not sure if you are serious, but I just laughed out loud really hard. Something about picturing him in [frick]ing ewok costume,priceless!
Snakeofdoom - 5/26/2013, 7:35 AM
Are we sure he's not Puck? I mean he's a midget with a stache in an X-men movie. How is this not Puck?!?
gambgel - 5/26/2013, 7:39 AM
Cant wait for the 70's!
ForMeToPoopOn - 5/26/2013, 7:46 AM
LucasMend - 5/26/2013, 7:48 AM
Hey guys, there's an idea I want to discuss about the villain for a while, is at same time an incredible discussion the movie could have.
If Peter ends up being Trask, and creates the sentinels in the movie, if he actually hates the mutants with all his heart like in the comics, that might create a nice heart for the movie.
Why? well he is a dwarf, and they have suffered a lot of racism during the centuries, being treated as inferior people etc. So, a dwarf being the creator of a robot that hunts another group of people who suffer racism would be pretty interesting, wouldn't it? :D
Because either he adquires respect as a dwarf after a long time of his life, or he suffered so much because of who he is, that now he wants to hunt other different groups in society, so he can forget his past. Damn, it surely can bring a great heart to the villain. Can't wait.
ahhmynuts - 5/26/2013, 8:10 AM
@lucasmend
dwarfism isnt a race wtf
chrismyers - 5/26/2013, 8:13 AM
@lucas mend
Exactly what I was thinking. Spot on! Singer based both his films on adversity and the suffering of 'outsiders' etc which is why Ian mckellen (probably wrong spelling) was so eager to sign on with him and singer both being gay and the holocost aspect etc. his films always have a prejudice undertone with a sympathetic villain. So what you said is exactly what he is probably doing.
