Oh my word this looks crazy! BTW, I never say this, but it would be great if you could put a spoiler alert please. Because I haven't read JL 22 yet and had no idea about the Superman thing, now I'm kind of upset. Lol. This is a huge event in comics and I really want to be surprised when I read them.

My lord... This is beautiful...
Probably my most anticipated comic arc so far... Am curious who the purple Secret Society guy is; the 1st panel makes him kinda look like an albino Alfred

AWESOME!! wouldn't mind getting more New 52 movies like Justice League Dark, America, and then a trinity war movie which would be awesome ... and maybe DC/WB's can make a live action trinity war movie which would be mind blowing
Dragonpiece - 7/16/2013, 3:13 PM
@MrDonut It is Alfred...aka The Outsider from Earth 3

DAAAAMN so glad i decided to start this event. The First part was stunning. However the ties so far have been so far below par it isn't even funny. AVOID those if you haven't read them yet.

@wingding it's a week later man, it's no longer a spoiler in the world of comics.

@osideous

Arg, I know. I just haven't been able to make it down to the comics store to get my latest issues. I clicked on this page out of curiosity, and I guess I didn't think anything would be spoiled in the preview. Just wanted to see the art and a basic idea of what's going on. I feel so out of the loop right now, lol

@MartianAbominationClone

I preferred the first issues of both AvX and Age of Ultron to the first issue of Trinity War. Also they butched the Question. What makes the character who he is has been taken away and replaced with some mystical past.

Nice, but why does Superman have his pre new 52 costume on in that card? hhmmmmmmmmmm
Splenda - 7/16/2013, 4:43 PM
i liked the first issue until Superman went completely ooc. if they didn't explain that away at "it was part of the bad guys' plans!" it would have been a total contrivance

Anyone else notice that Iron Fist is in the 3rd panel?
Melkaticox - 7/16/2013, 5:19 PM
#3 Is anyone else concerned about The Thing and Iron Fist in that page?
Melkaticox - 7/16/2013, 5:20 PM
And a Tron Legacy character, too, apparently.
...Or Sylux.

I may start to read this just because of the Question. My favorite DC character.

Didn't Lex tamper with Superman's DNA so that he could remotely trigger things? My guess is that's why his heat vision suddenly went off.
jjk2814 - 7/17/2013, 11:29 PM
Yeah, it's clearly The Outsider...from Flashpoint...or this reality's version of him...whoever he is. I hope Johns isn't trying to build him up as some sort of new supervillain. Not that I want this to just be;"Oh it's Lex Luthor or Despero!"

I just fear sometimes that The New 52 is trying too hard to create new characters that they hope will be "new classics."
