"Ben is perfect for the vision Zack has for that character. The fact that you saw such a passionate response in the blogosphere is really kind of a testament to the love that people have for this character," Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara said today at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2013 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference in Beverly Hills. He would then add that Ben Affleck is "perfect" for the role, promising that this Batman will be "tired, and kind of weary and seasoned". The Hollywood Reporter also reveals that he told those in attendance there are "several" more DC related announcements on the way for everything from video games to consumer products, television and films. "DC really does touch a lot of parts of our business and is an important part of the strategy in how we're going to grow going forward." How do you guys feel about these comments? Sound off below!

janitra - 9/12/2013, 3:38 PM
whenever I see Ben Affleck, tired is the first thing to come in my mind.
Gnyah123 - 9/12/2013, 3:39 PM
well i think its safe to say we already know the following

2 batman animated films...the son of batman and batman based on the arkham game.....probably most likely a follow up video game to arkham city since the original voice of batman said he was working on a different project for the next consoles

green arrow
flash coming to TV

my only guess and hope is a wonder woman movie!!

we def. wont get 2 movies a year thats fact
Gnyah123 - 9/12/2013, 3:40 PM

Tevii - 9/12/2013, 3:48 PM
A tired weary Batman at the beginning of the Superman franchise makes no sense... at all... unless this is somehow in the future... but that doesnt make sense either

Have faith in Snyder, affleck, cavill... etc... but I dont have faith in WB. and at the end of the day, those suits are really in charge, which is how DC does not have a great cinematic universe yet.

I cant stand how WB operates... it seriously pisses me off. How they they constantly [frick] up the gold mine that is the DCU.
I have HIGH hopes for this movie, but am already prepared for it to be a dismal disappointment
Gnyah123 - 9/12/2013, 3:49 PM
apparently the new harry potter is a few years BEFORE the harry potter franchise i for one am excited to see where it leads...it shud be about his parents!!
maninfinehat - 9/12/2013, 3:50 PM
DC really does touch a lot of parts of our business'

INSTANTJUSTICE - 9/12/2013, 3:50 PM

It's really Snyder who needs to up his narrative game here. Affleck has proven himself a better director and actor in recent years.

Gnyah123 - 9/12/2013, 3:51 PM
star wars will be BANK im thinking avengers numbers depending on how it comes out

the avengers 2 will make MORE than what it did in avengers 1

and batman/superman will be more than TDK/TDKR
TheFlyingGarcia - 9/12/2013, 3:52 PM
._. I was hoping for a young batman like thr show "The Batman"
Gnyah123 - 9/12/2013, 3:53 PM
i think what he means by tired and seasoned...
a batman that doesnt really try...lack of motivation to get in his suit and fight crime again
WruceBayne - 9/12/2013, 3:54 PM
@Highflyer- I said the same thing Bro. All these fanboys that are all butthurt now are going to be praising Affleck and saying that they were with it from the start.
SuperGuy83 - 9/12/2013, 3:54 PM
Awesome Though Im Sure My Boy Superman will give an Ass whooping
Gnyah123 - 9/12/2013, 3:56 PM
a batman that just doesnt give a rats ass
mattboesch8907 - 9/12/2013, 3:57 PM
I don't care who plays Batman at this point as long as Batman kicks Supey's red white and blue boyscout ass.
Battabing - 9/12/2013, 3:57 PM
Wonder Woman in 2016!

Fingers crossed!
BrickWall - 9/12/2013, 3:57 PM
I knew it was a Josh Wilding article just from the headline. Seriously dude keep turning them screws.
SnapperCarr - 9/12/2013, 3:58 PM
I don't like the idea of an older Batman.

However if this means we get a more parental Batman like the one in Young Justice, then I'm cool with that.
YourMomsFavorite - 9/12/2013, 3:59 PM
Obviously it's a wait and see approach for the movie. But I think it's the wrong direction to take the movie an old, tired, seasoned batman is going to take on the most powerful being in the world? It's ok if he's a few years older, it's even ok for him to be perfecting/practicing his craft longer than Superman, and I know and they shouldn't take things str8 from the comics but Supes kind of inspires the other Hero's to reveal themselves(that's what she said) and put on the masks and such...just makes me weary and tired
beane2099 - 9/12/2013, 4:01 PM
Based on those comments, I'd guess that we're gonna see Batman Vs Superman in 2015 and a guest appearance from the Flash on Arrow (and nothing else).
Gnyah123 - 9/12/2013, 4:01 PM
wonder woman has to be announced
i dont see no other movie that can be...
since flash is coming to the TV
WW can be n has to be coming to film
ThePowerCosmic - 9/12/2013, 4:01 PM
A tired and seasoned Batman and then you use a pic from Batman Year one...nice going Josh.
OldBenKenobi - 9/12/2013, 4:02 PM
I still think Batman being old is stupid (he doesn't need to be old to be wise) but I can't allow myself to doubt this movie.
maninfinehat - 9/12/2013, 4:06 PM
I'm fine with 'Superman' winning the first fight, so long as it shows Batman dusting himself off, using his brain, and coming back to beat the shit out of Clark in round 2.
highflyer - 9/12/2013, 4:07 PM
@WruceBayne
exactly.
