DC Adaptations To Be "Basis" For Warner Bros.; BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN Title Confirmed?

While Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara talked this past weekend about Ben Affleck's "seasoned" Batman, we now have some more quotes from his speech to shareholders which promise a larger focus on DC's comic book stable moving forward and possible confirmation of the Batman Vs. Superman title.

When the Harry Potter franchise ended, many fans thought it would mean that Warner Bros. would focus their efforts on bringing more DC comic book characters to life on the big screen. However, the commercial failure of Green Lantern and a trilogy of movies based on The Hobbit seems to have slowed those plans down, and you can't blame anyone for being worried about the likes of Wonder Woman and The Flash when there are more films based on J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter characters are on the way. However, we now have a quote from Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara in which he seems to make it clear that the DC superheroes do factor somewhere into their plans of releasing between 12 - 14 movies a year. "I think the basis, foundation of those 12 to 14 pictures are going to be coming from DC Entertainment." While he would later add that further announcements are on the way, the CEO may have inadvertently let slip the title of Zack Snyder's Batman/Superman movie when talking about the highly anticipated team-up. "We have Batman Vs. Superman coming out in 2015, but there are going to be in the coming months a lot of announcements regarding the future movie, television, games and consumer product pieces that are going to be coming from DC." This is the same title spotted recently on Watchmen cinematographer Larry Fong's resume at Worldwide Production Agency.

Awesome, finally getting serious about the DCCU now.
Reasonnnn - 9/16/2013, 11:37 AM
12-14 Batman/Superman movies.*
DaMexicanAssman - 9/16/2013, 11:37 AM
Cool, can't wait. Please don't make it a versus film.
Emjeed - 9/16/2013, 11:40 AM
I think he's saying that the majority of the next 12-14 movies WB is gonna release are gonna be DC films. Not 12 DC films. Like how Disney is releasing some stuff but Marvel Studios movies are the bulk of those releases. So maybe 4 or 5 DC films, those three Harry Potter spinoff films, a few bad comedies .. You know the usual.
Emjeed - 9/16/2013, 11:43 AM
"The foundation of those 14 pictures (films)" not "The next 14 films"
ATrueHero1987 - 9/16/2013, 11:44 AM
So was Variety or THR right when they said The Flash was coming out in 2016? Because I haven't heard WB talk about that yet.
Emjeed - 9/16/2013, 11:45 AM
@LEVI I share your pain.. They always have to make batman more appealing at the expense of Superman.. Smh
lapress - 9/16/2013, 11:47 AM
Beiber was RIGHT!
knocturnalzen10 - 9/16/2013, 11:47 AM
batman's name shouldn't be in the title i dislike his antics most of the time with troling super man articles but sage is correct on the batman cash cow
smh it needs to be MOS2 or sup's quits killing something like that
COME ON WB !
i really hope they get jonathan nolan for the screenplay
Brainiac13 - 9/16/2013, 11:47 AM

Warner Bros Studios will be making 12 to 14 movies a year including the DC offerings, not 12 to 14 DC offerings. so I'm thinking like 2 or 3 DC movies a year tops.
JoeMomma29 - 9/16/2013, 11:50 AM
It sounds like great news, but I will believe when I see it. WB has always dangled this carrot in front of us but all we get is Batz and Supes.

I will get excited when I hear officially that a Flash, WW, or Aquaman movie is announced. Heck just anyone of those and I will be excited.
Amazing512 - 9/16/2013, 11:52 AM
Meh. Im honestly not psyched for this movie at all at the moment
GoILL - 9/16/2013, 11:52 AM
Really not feeling Batman's name appearing before Superman's in a film that is supposed to a sequel to Man of Steel.
McNyagano - 9/16/2013, 11:53 AM
WB you serious?? TALK IS CHEAP!!

Emjeed - 9/16/2013, 11:53 AM
It's just ridiculous. How the [frick] can Batman go against the Superman we saw in MOS? this mother[frick]er took several minutes of straight hit from a [frick]ing world engine, destroyed like half the city with his fight and didn't burn during reentry. Took on three of his own kind and.. He Survived Faora. Idk... This is a bit hard to swallow. I get it in the comics but man..
Zarog - 9/16/2013, 11:53 AM
Vs. huh? You're morons WB. There should be no versus. Why can't you just call it Superman/Batman: World's Finest?
Timerider84 - 9/16/2013, 11:54 AM
ATrueHero1987@, its coming, The Flash and Wonder Woman are on their way to the big screen.
Reasonnnn - 9/16/2013, 11:54 AM
@LEVI I want Wolverine & Spider-Man fighting...side by side...with quips!
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 9/16/2013, 11:57 AM
Once again Warner [frick]s up. WTF title is that shit?
ForeverPowerful - 9/16/2013, 11:57 AM
Good.

Get your thumbs out of your asses and make some [frick]ing DC movies WB.

WonderWoman, Green Lantern 2, Flash...just more than just Superman and Batman.
DudeGuyMan - 9/16/2013, 11:57 AM
How the hell can Batman win without Kryptonite? Snyder said that it doesn't exist in the Man of Steel universe.
3DWitchHunt - 9/16/2013, 11:57 AM
Goddamn it WB
Just announce a DC film line up
Create some big screen hype in other characters besides Batman and Superman
TheYoungMan - 9/16/2013, 11:57 AM
Title should be 'Man of Steel 2: Age of Affleck'
JoeMomma29 - 9/16/2013, 11:57 AM
And how the hello is Batz supposed to fight Supes in this movie. Come one they have not introduced Kryptonite yet......What are they going to have Bruce just some how discover the stuff?????? I am so pissed off at WB right now.
erth2drew - 9/16/2013, 11:58 AM
your all idiots wb themselves are release 12-14 movies a year, IN GENERAL!!!!! and he's probably just referring to it as that bc its kind of a stupid title to a man of steel sequel
KamenRiderJ - 9/16/2013, 11:58 AM

Bring this shit!
Kaedus - 9/16/2013, 11:59 AM
"Batman vs Superman" probably isn't the actual title.

He probably just said that in reference to them both being in the next film, of which some part will be antagonist (much like the Avengers fighting before teaming up). Then it's been taken as a direct quote and written up as a movie title.
DudeGuyMan - 9/16/2013, 12:00 PM
I am seriously tired of the Batman/Superman rehashing. After DC's last animated film, I want to see a Flash movie!
Dmon - 9/16/2013, 12:00 PM
Batman VS Superman is just a working title not the actual one. It is just easy to call it that when speaking of it.
CharlesLord - 9/16/2013, 12:01 PM
hahahahaha if thats the real title....
JoeMomma29 - 9/16/2013, 12:02 PM
I am so the title of the movie will change that is a given. And yes I understood that the 12 to 14 movies each year there will be a mix of DC movies released but exactly how many my guess is ONE if we are lucky.

Man the share holders need to press them and keep reminding them of Marvle/Disney.
naterator - 9/16/2013, 12:02 PM
Just because he said that ...,,doesnt mean thats the working title.... i mean for crying out loud.... what was man of steels working title??... Autumn Frost... thats right. Im sure it will be something like WORLDS FINEST.
Boyle360 - 9/16/2013, 12:03 PM
Nope. There's no way.
1. Batman vs Superman is an AWFUL title. Besides, he's probably not allowed to say the real name yet, so for the moment he's calling it that. Either that or they haven't decided a name yet.
2. 12-14 movies a year is total bullshit. That will never happen. Never.
JoeMomma29 - 9/16/2013, 12:05 PM
People calm down the Supes vs Batz title that is not going to happen. But I am sure he is alluding that Batman is going to fight Supes, and this is my issue. I mean how does Batz have a chance against Supes, well Kryptonite you say. I agree but like I posted earlier how the hell are the going to introduce the kryptonite and then establish that it hurts Supes? Now some might say that Lex will already have found it etc... but then how does Lex know it will hurt Supes etc....

Well I should stop bitchin we have freekin two years for this movie to come out.
McNyagano - 9/16/2013, 12:05 PM
BATAMAN VS SUPERMAN?? yeah we will be seeing Batman beat the shit out of Supes lol xD In this universe it shouldn't even be possible because we've see what Supes can do...

Yeah i'll call b.s if Bats beats the crap out of Supes
-_- Don't care if it happened in the comics, this is the movie universe.
DreadlockedPoseidon - 9/16/2013, 12:06 PM
Great...so Dark Knight Returns...more chances for the Batfans to smirk & s[racial slur] at the Superfans. I don't want to see them fight, I want to see them team up.
JoeMomma29 - 9/16/2013, 12:06 PM
@ Boyle

You need to read the article again. WB is stating that they release 12 to 14 movies a year and that a part of that number will be DC movies. It could be 1 movie or 2 movies etc... per year.
tvor03 - 9/16/2013, 12:07 PM
First off, WB plans to release 12-14 movies a year. Of those, the headline films and big moneymakers will be from DC Entertainment. That's what he meant by that statement.

Also, Batman vs. Superman is the working title, not the official title. It's a placeholder. Once Goyer finishes the screenplay, an official title will be released.
