I hope they put nose holes in the new suit so that Ben doesn't have to walk around with his mouth gaping open the entire time like Bale had to.
JR - 9/20/2013, 2:13 PM
wow

Godzillafart - 9/20/2013, 2:13 PM
Yup. That's pretty much what the best of his trilogy did.
JorL5150 - 9/20/2013, 2:13 PM

Awesome, awesome trilogy. Say what you want about Nolan, he has the mindset that the less CGI, the better. He could've done so many things with just plain, boring CGI. Instead, we got a fully functioning, life-sized Tumbler. We got an actual, functioning Batpod. We got an actual semi-tractor trailer flipping over. That's something the movie industry in general should do more of. Practical effects > CGI

When gangsters with guns charge at cops with guns and they all have a fistfight = reality.
Godzillafart - 9/20/2013, 2:15 PM
Although it was pretty unrealistic that anyone with such a freakishly small toddler sized jaw like Bale could take even a weak punch...which one would think would be a prerequisite for being Batman.
Indy - 9/20/2013, 2:16 PM
Best CBMS EVER!!!
already own movie so not going buy another set of same movie. sure behind scene will end up on youtube like everything else.
sameoldthing - 9/20/2013, 2:17 PM
It's really good,no doubt about it.
Batman has no super powers & in a near-reality his character & world works.

Having said that I believe we have only been given "pieces" of what could be done with Batman from the comics, which is the best Batman of all.

sameoldthing - 9/20/2013, 2:20 PM
Nolan films gave us a "reality based" Batman.
Schumacher gave us a "campy style" Batman.
Burton gave us a "fairy tale" Batman.

Now I want the "comic book" Batman..the Dark Knight Detective.
Fighting street crime, city corruption, crime lords & superpowered evil.
That's the best Batman..it has yet to be seen.
GoILL - 9/20/2013, 2:20 PM
I would love to watch the whole featurette but i'm not going to spend $100 on these again for it.
Brokensteel1228 - 9/20/2013, 2:21 PM
Warner Bros: alright chris we need a good way to bring batman back
Nolan: alright ive got just the thing
WB: Great, lets see what you.....oh why does he sound like cookie monster with cancer, and look like a puzzle, and where is the intimidating badass and interesting things that our fans have loved about batman for years?
Nolan: its k guys, ill label it as "artistic" and people will eat this shit up
Wb: yaaay Money, screw everything that has made the character who he is:D
MarkV - 9/20/2013, 2:22 PM
This was a fun trilogy. batman Begins is a film I could watch all day long.

Like most of you, though, I am hungry for a Batman that might be a little more in line with the comic book version.
Jakeroo - 9/20/2013, 2:27 PM
HEY NOLAN!!!

Your source material IS a comicbook.

You can make the WORLD the hero inhabits realistic.
THEN ask yourself how it reacts to a superhero. Your main character was easy enough for you. He has no powers, but you had to suck all the fun out of your films. THey seemed to be almost dramas containing people who at times dress oddly. Your pacing is slow. Your action was decent at best. I am glad your time is over. NEXT!!!!
MrYurMomm - 9/20/2013, 2:27 PM
I love the first and second, NEVER will I buy TDKR, such a disappointment
Jakeroo - 9/20/2013, 2:27 PM
REBOOT will feel so good :)

Great trilogy!
3DWitchHunt - 9/20/2013, 2:32 PM
Greatest CBM trilogy
Godzillafart - 9/20/2013, 2:34 PM
It was almost close after all the problems with IM2, but IM3 was fantastic and solidified the IM trilogy of the best to date.

BB was mediocre, TDKR was only good, and Bale sucked in each of the films.
sanyaya - 9/20/2013, 2:35 PM
Good director he needs to mature a bit tho
TheFox - 9/20/2013, 2:41 PM
Dammit-- I WANT these features, but I don't want this overblown box set with all the extra garbage packed into it! Can't they release a paired-down version of the set that's just the discs, and not filled with models and posters and all that crap?

Growler - 9/20/2013, 2:44 PM
This still seems far too light on special features.

90 minutes to cover over 6 hours of films is a paltry amount when what we really ought be getting is multiple commentaries and featurettes/breakdowns of each film.

You can keep the toys and shiny gimmicks, I want something a bit more rewarding and substantial.
batman1216 - 9/20/2013, 2:45 PM
Greatest comic based movies of all time. All three of them.
BIGBMH - 9/20/2013, 2:50 PM
I haven't loved everything Nolan has done, (TDKR and Inception are overrated IMO) but I really appreciate his respect for the source material. He sees something in the story of Batman and the character of Bruce Wayne and he's helped to open the eyes of non-comic book fans.

Unfortunately, a lot of them seem to think he took a simplistic character and made him interesting. Even with all the success of Nolan's trilogy and comic book movies in general, I don't feel like much respect from general audiences has carried over to the source material.

HulkbusterNYC - 9/20/2013, 2:54 PM

"It's about giving the world of the films and the characters as much weight and validity as they would if your source material were not a comic book."

His trilogy was classic but I hate this idea of his that if it's "real" (his view on real anyway) it's somehow better. None of the nonsense that happened in Gotham over the course of those 3 films could even be considered REAL.
Dandy - 9/20/2013, 2:55 PM
I'll be picking this up. The Dark Knight Trilogy, despite having a weaker third film, is still the strongest Superhero Trilogy to this date.
sanyaya - 9/20/2013, 3:09 PM
@gusto you dirty old bastard
KrazyForKomix - 9/20/2013, 3:11 PM
Yep. Everything about the three movies was perfect . . . except in those places where they weren't.

In some twisted universe that makes me a "hater."

But in reality, it just makes me a fan that saw the 3 films for what they were - 3 really good movies with flaws.

Now, adding to BIGMH's point, I agree about the audience not having much respect for the source material. In fact I believe that those general audiences could not possibly care less about the faithfulness of these movie heroes to their original origins and mythos. With the notable exception of Superman and the planet he comes from, the non-comic reading public ONLY wants a good, well thought out story.
But heres the silver lining that the movie makers SHOULD take advantage of: Since they (the general public) doesn't give a flying f about wether or not theres fealty to the written/drawn comic page, they can make the general audiences AND the comic geeks deliriously happy by producing a good, well thought out story (see above) THAT IS TRUE to the source material. And I mean MORE true than is currently being accomplished.
BOTH.
CAN.
BE.
ACHIEVED.

They just have to stop saying, "Hey, wouldn't it be even cooler if we changed . . ."
SpideyQuad - 9/20/2013, 3:14 PM
Well here's news to you "dip shipped" IT IS A COMIC BOOK. YOUR SOURCE MATERIAL FOR THREE OF YOUR LAST FIVE MOVIES WERE.

Stupid artistic fart
docgl - 9/20/2013, 3:15 PM
If I want reality I will read/watch True Crime. I don't want a "reality" based Batman. I want a comic book Batman. The Dark Knight was actually a good film. The other two didn't do much for me.
SpideyQuad - 9/20/2013, 3:17 PM
It's this mindset that probably cause two of the three movies to really lack. People were so starved for a serious Batman that they sold out on the character.

Oh dark Batman… Nolan is such a genius

Half of you guys probably don't realize the Internet was furious after Batman and Robin everyone knew it would be suicidal to try the camp again. It's just like all you idiots that fail to admit MOS was a disappointment.
Sephiroth - 9/20/2013, 3:19 PM
I was disappointed by TDKR but im gonna watch it again. It seems the love/hate for TDKR is equal.
JorL5150 - 9/20/2013, 3:23 PM
i think batfleck will will resemble the comics a bit more, as it will be a universe in which "magic" and "powers" can happen.

and gusto, kay parker for the win! and that seka? oof!
