1B for some crap animated film?

I am disappoint.
BatManiac - 3/2/2014, 11:12 AM
I have no clue what Frozen is. I've never even seen a trailer.
MexicanChinman - 3/2/2014, 11:13 AM
@Pasto. Have you seen that movie?
McGee - 3/2/2014, 11:14 AM
Is Robocop dead yet?
Klone - 3/2/2014, 11:15 AM
Frozen was popular? All I know of it is a JeremyJahns review.
BatManiac - 3/2/2014, 11:15 AM

The sooner we can put this remake behind us, the better.

....wait, was it actually any good?
JoJo1982 - 3/2/2014, 11:16 AM
So I see Robocop is doing decent business

I heard good things about the movie, maybe they might do a sequel now
Battabing - 3/2/2014, 11:20 AM
Why would anybody spend money to go see Son of God?
You saw for it free on TV and now you'll pay to see it on the big screen?
Ranger14 - 3/2/2014, 11:20 AM
Loved by the critics, audiences and makes a billion $? Yep, sounds like crap to me. :-p

Other than a handful of people here, I haven't heard anything good about Robocop.
CherryBomb - 3/2/2014, 11:20 AM
I loved Frozen. Although I prefer Tangled in some ways.
Frozen was awesome and I'm sure it'll win the Oscar (as it should)
DrDoom - 3/2/2014, 11:20 AM
I really like Robocop . . . .
Ranger14 - 3/2/2014, 11:22 AM
It's too bad more of the general audience isn't familiar with Miyazaki. His work deserves to make more at the box office.
UltimateHunt - 3/2/2014, 11:23 AM
Im happy Son of God are doing so good.
Truly deserved
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 3/2/2014, 11:23 AM
I simply just don't get any enjoyment out of these animated movies anymore. Probably due to age I guess. Robocop was great, loved it. However, do not follow the formulas of the originals for the sequels.
Pasto - 3/2/2014, 11:24 AM
Only animated film that should get an Oscar is The Lego Movie.
UltimateHunt - 3/2/2014, 11:26 AM
@Cherry
The Wind Rises is a pretty good competition

Same. I only enjoyed the Lego movie because I grew up with legos. Anything else is pot.

charlie2094 - 3/2/2014, 11:27 AM
Robocop was good, glad it's doing well enough, be nice to see a sequel

Never saw Frozen, never been that interested in such animated movies but glad to hear such movies are still doing very well...least this sounds like a good movie that deserved it's success, unlike some of the trash that's made $1 Billion, like Transformers 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 4
Pasto - 3/2/2014, 11:27 AM
Only time I heard about Frozen other than this is an article on IGN talking about how 'Nymphomaniac' will have a trailer before it.
Pending - 3/2/2014, 11:27 AM
I hope The Lego Movie makes a shit ton more money, that movie actually deserves it. Frozen was probably one of the most half assed Disney films I've seen.
Pasto - 3/2/2014, 11:29 AM
Remember that film about the Princess and the Frog? Yeah....me to....
BatManiac - 3/2/2014, 11:32 AM
"Only animated film that should get an Oscar is The Lego Movie."

^ This!
Pasto - 3/2/2014, 11:34 AM
Frozen should use that as an attention grabbing headline.

"You have a vagina? Then come watch this film!"
Chucky2003 - 3/2/2014, 11:34 AM
I don't get it,FroZen sucked

Op, you can't say two different things are awesome on this site. People will tear you a new one.
AgentEX - 3/2/2014, 11:40 AM
RoboCop definitely deserves a sequel. It's at $187M worldwide and I think it needs to clear about $250M (which it can) to earn it.
MsDarkPhoenix - 3/2/2014, 11:43 AM
Frozen sucked?!? It was an amazing movie, one of the best from Disney! Not the typical princess movie with the love story and everything.

Let it goooo let it gooo can't hold it back anymore

Do you want to build a snowman? Come on let's go and play!

Can't wait for Idina Menzel to sing Let It Go at the Oscars today!!
kinghulk - 3/2/2014, 11:45 AM
watched frozen online it was a good film, watched robocop this tuesday and i loved it and i hope it gets a sequel. and i still haven't gotten round to see the lego movie but i really want too.
Bekss - 3/2/2014, 11:46 AM
Wow. I thought you only talk shit about your comicbook company competition, but you talk shit about everything. That's lame, you haven't seen the movies but you talk bad about them.

Lego movie was great but in other countries no one understood the jokes (or the voices were not that good) so it won't make a lot of money.
IUsedToBeThecase - 3/2/2014, 11:46 AM
The cold doesn't bother me anyway.
Minty - 3/2/2014, 11:53 AM
Wow did not see Frozen breaking the $1 billion mark, well played Disney. Lego Movie looks great, need to see it
MsDarkPhoenix - 3/2/2014, 11:54 AM
Fun Fact
They originally wanted to name the reindeer Thor instead of Sven, but they had to change his name after the Avengers.

Reindeers are better than people, Sven don't you think that's true??
Grabthemcakes - 3/2/2014, 11:54 AM
Robo Cop is a pretty decent movie & definitely worth checking out. A sequel is going to be tough for this movie with its current box office numbers. As the article says it’s at 136M overseas which has pretty much carried the box office of this movie (51M in the US) although that is pretty much how the box office goes these days (overseas about 70% of BO).

I doubt it is going to reach 70M in the US but if it continues really strong overseas there may be a slight chance for a sequel. However, those overseas numbers are going to need to pump in about another 150M – 200M in addition to the current 136M Robo Cop has in the books. With a 100M budget & unknown millions in advertising a worldwide total of 350M – 400M is going to be needed for a sequel. Right now it’s at 187M worldwide.
ReeferInferno - 3/2/2014, 11:55 AM
I really enjoyed frozen and am glad that it made a billion, that said I wish the lego movie did too cause for me it deserves it more but it'll do just fine.
