I don't know what it is about Daredevil but he seems to alwaysbring the best out of any writer.
MightyZeus - 3/12/2014, 7:53 PM

Anybody know the exact date on when this is released? I know it's in April, but I don't know when.

MidNightWind - 3/12/2014, 9:54 PM
I've never seen a superhero who's life is as screwed up as his, but man he is such an interesting character.
blackandyellow - 3/12/2014, 10:00 PM
Pretty good. I like Alex Ross' 50th Anniversary cover better.

@JohnTom88
That's what's always been in my mind as well

Big seven for DC

1.Superman
2.Batman
3.Wonder Woman
4.Flash
5.Green Lantern
6.Aquaman
7.Martian Manhunter

Big three teams for DC

1.Justice League
2.Justice Society of America
3.Teen Titans

Big seven for Marvel

1.Captain Ameriva
2.Iron Man
3.Thor
4.Spider-man
5.Wolverine
6.Hulk
7.Daredevil

Big three teams for Marvel

1.Avengers
2.Fantastic Four
3.X-men

I wish they would make the Avengers with just the big seven like DC did with JLA.
JohnTom88 - 3/12/2014, 10:29 PM
@Fastestmanalive if you replace Daredevil with Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel, arguably Marvel's Wonder Woman/premiere superheroine, that's already past Avengers lineup). Daredevil's agile bruiser could be replaced by Spider-Man or Captain America.

But now Wolverine is going full X-Men, Carol going full Guardians of the Galaxy, and so on. Marvel is spreading the load so to speak.

@deadpoolio- this comin from a deadpool fan is hilarious. DD is an amazing character but u wouldn't know cuz u prolly spend most of ur time reading about a character with zero substance.
SecNotSure - 3/12/2014, 11:04 PM
Excited to see what direction they'll take DD. This character has been on a superb run of memorable stories for a long time. And now that they're moving him to the west coast (along with the Punisher) Those 2 need to get together and fsu. Do it Marvel
TheRealistStarLord - 3/12/2014, 11:35 PM
50 Years.. And yet, I have read only one Daredevil issue... I hope I am not the only one on this, mayne..
enggarb - 3/13/2014, 12:38 AM
PLEASE GIVE US NEW DAREDEVIL MOVIE. Or add him into MCU.
LMB10 - 3/13/2014, 12:52 AM
Shame the series won't be starting this year then!
Equivocal - 3/13/2014, 1:03 AM
in that cover by Alex Ross, DD has such a boner

jimoakley666 - 3/13/2014, 1:31 AM
Cannot wait to read the new California set series (love the current one!) and also cannot wait to see the Netflix series. I hope they make it as bombastic and fun as the comic currently is. I'd hate to see it too dour. That's what let down Man Of Steel. It was depressingly po-faced.

I hope the MCU guys have more of a hand in the Netflix programmes than they did with AOS. Wanna see some ace costume designs that fit perfectly with the movies. Get the same designers who worked on Iron Man, Thor, Cap and Avengers. Put the money on the screen. As much as I like AOS it looks cheap at times. A good series runner / director could get away with it.
KINGPEN266 - 3/13/2014, 2:06 AM
MY FAVORITE MARVEL SUPERHERO SINCE I WAS A KID HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAREDEVIL I LOVE YA MAN
mgeoff88 - 3/13/2014, 2:14 AM
Wow, Daredevil is turning the big 5-0?

Cool covers. Yah, Alex Ross' Daredevil cover is amazing.
UltimateTypeface - 3/13/2014, 2:49 AM
That's his Old Man in he 1st one - Battling Jack?

Its The Owl - and maybe the Centurion or some guy...anyone?

Electra

Kingpin

DD rocks ... people who don't get Matt Murdoch have never read it.

CrimsonFlash - 3/13/2014, 4:24 AM
Freaking love it. I was Feigie to confirm either way that king pin comes with DD to netflix. He aboslutely needs to be in DD's life. Though they could just replace him with another mobster
manofsteel1942 - 3/13/2014, 4:34 AM
Hey cool. Archie dressed up like Daredevil.
Gary8264 - 3/13/2014, 4:36 AM
@B&Y, yeah Ross's art is beautiful. I loved DD from the 70's when he'd face off with Bulls-Eye or Gladiator, some epic, bloody battles. The first DD book I remember readin' is him squarin' off with Cap. And I didn' realize he was turnin' 50, so I guess we'll turn 50 in the same year.... well, whatta y'know, I have somethin' in common with DD.
marvel72 - 3/13/2014, 6:06 AM
love daredevil,i do prefer him dark more than the lighter look of daredevil the last few years.

miller, bendis & brubaker had the best runs on the character.
jlabatman - 3/13/2014, 6:48 AM
Like the artwork on this, looks good!
mrHJK - 3/13/2014, 7:56 AM
@Fastestmanalive

I'm not sure what you mean for Big 7, but if we're going by popularity (as in those 7 DC characters are all pretty much recognizable to non-fans; though Martian Manhunter would probably have to be replaced by Robin), then I think Marvel's Big 7 would look something like:

(Now, this is thanks mostly to movie exposure):
In no particular order
Spider-Man
Iron Man
Hulk
Thor
Captain America
Wolverine
and either Human Torch, Thing, Storm or Black Widow
Melkaticox - 3/13/2014, 9:58 AM
@JohnTom88 Errr, that list is kinda...wrong, to be honest:

1.- Spider-Man
2.- Iron Man
3.- Hulk
4.- X-Men
5.- Thor
6.- 'Murica

General audience-wise. Not sure about the other heroes...
Melkaticox - 3/13/2014, 9:59 AM
@enggarb ...
Fastestmanalive - 3/13/2014, 10:47 AM
@mrHJK

Yea I am kinda basing my big seven on popularity. But not just popularity in the real world but on popularity in their comic book worlds, like on exposure.

One of the criteria would definitely be having your own set and holding it down decently. I agree with the first six, which most people seem to agree on, but I dont agree with Storm, or Thing or Human torch or even Robin for DC.

Most have never had their own ongoing or/and are also part of a very particular niche, FF and Xmen, Batman.

Daredevil is one of the original Marvel outbreaks from the 60's, Has had his own ongoing constantly since his debut and has his own "world".

So I would go with DD.
