I'm a huge DD fan and am personally excited for this new story. DD in cali. Bring on the haters who complain about comics being the same for years and years but then also hate when they try something new haha
staypuffed - 3/13/2014, 6:11 PM
Hasn't this been posted?

And a year from now Marvel will relaunch another ALL NEW "MAREVEL Now" DareDevil # 1.

Pathetic.
AsgardianHobo - 3/13/2014, 6:28 PM
@Nomis

If it's not a reboot, what's the big problem? It's just a number
ManDeth - 3/13/2014, 6:30 PM
If Archie Comics did a Daredevil comic, it would look just like this.
Marvel Comics needs to just close down and do reprints.
Chris Samnee should be working at a Burger King or bagging groceries.
Doopie - 3/13/2014, 6:31 PM
DD and blue skies and palm trees is weird. but still this looks cool
TheArachnidAvenger - 3/13/2014, 6:32 PM
I'm okay with DD being in California. Although we probably won't see a DD and spidey team up for a while since they're in different states now :(
KINGPEN266 - 3/13/2014, 6:35 PM
but will dd work with punisher ? that is the question
KidGoku - 3/13/2014, 6:37 PM
Interesting. He should come to Fresno :)

@ AsgardianHobo - Because it's a cheap gimmick to get people to buy the book, being a new "number 1" issue instead of increasing the quality of the book in story and art, in one continual volume.

And while they are in the business of selling comics, these kind of stunt never produce any new long term readers (most fall off after buying the Number 1 issue thinking it will be valuable) and it could potentially upset the regular readers of the title that stayed with the title since the last re-launching.

So they substitute quality with a quick fix for sells, however it will also dilute the value of book since there are so many "new number 1" on the market every year, so that even if someone ONLY got the "new number 1" for reselling later, the value of it has diminished.

So all around a renumbered relaunch of a title over and over again (which Seem to be Marvel marketing plan of late) actually hurt the comic company in the long run.

That Marvel 75th Anniversary Varient looks awesome
BatManHeisenberg - 3/13/2014, 7:04 PM
Seriously, like Nomis said, just a cheap gimmick by Marvel. Like it makes no sense otherwise.
StSharp - 3/13/2014, 7:12 PM
Always loved Daredevil but this run is annoying! I read the first 2 volumes at the beginning of Waids run and it was so weakkk!!

They used to write beautiful, dark stories for Daredevil. And its cool that they are experimenting, but its still going?

Boooo
SecNotSure - 3/13/2014, 7:21 PM
I really could care less if it's #1, #37, #170, #549 I stopped looking at the numbers years ago. I collect his book because of how well it's written (not to mention it's the only superhero that unleashes my inner fanboy) and Daredevil has been solid for a very long time. I'm confident he could be moved to any city and the stories would still be nothing short of spectacular. Moving him to the west coast just means more encounters with the Punisher. Can't wait.

On a side note, I think they should have made his new city Seattle. It just fits his character so well.... plus it would be nice to read about a superhero from the same city I live in..
JakeMurdock89 - 3/13/2014, 7:34 PM
Yea DD is my fav character and I'm ready for him to go back to his darker stories. Plus I hate Samnee's art.
Redmest - 3/13/2014, 7:45 PM
i dunno bout ya'll but i love Daredevils art direction
ALmazing - 3/13/2014, 7:52 PM
Mark Waid is the man.
SecNotSure - 3/13/2014, 8:00 PM
I preferred the dark stories as well, but he was basically shat on for a decade so the last 3 years really didn't bother me. It was time for him to catch a break.
SecNotSure - 3/13/2014, 8:03 PM
@Redmast I've liked the art direction as well, it has a retro feel to it.
Optimus83 - 3/13/2014, 8:06 PM
Cool. ...Daredevil
novaprime - 3/13/2014, 8:15 PM
Looks Good
ThePowerCosmic - 3/13/2014, 9:12 PM
Love this book...I hope Samnee stays on this...his work fits Waid's writing so well.

I love all 3 of those Covers!
ThePowerCosmic - 3/13/2014, 9:14 PM
Nomis

'being a new "number 1" issue instead of increasing the quality of the book in story and art, in one continual volume."

This statement is more your opinion than any kind of fact. I happen to think the art and story really couldn't get much better.
ZakkPL - 3/13/2014, 11:08 PM
who does art for those new Marvel Now comics? 12 year olds? DD took a loooooooonnnnggggg waaaayy from Bendis and Brubaker...
Brainiac13 - 3/14/2014, 2:30 AM
The art is shit!!!

I love DD! But Nomis speaks the TRUTH!

jimoakley666 - 3/14/2014, 4:32 AM
Looks fuking amazing. Are those bastards using Goblin tech?
manofsteel1942 - 3/14/2014, 4:48 AM
Archie comics presents : Daredevil
LoudLon - 3/14/2014, 7:16 AM
DD's a gritty character and needs a gritty artist. This is why guys like Frank Miller and David Mazzuccheli had such great runs on it. But this stuff? This is coloring book-level crap.
RetroFit - 3/14/2014, 10:17 AM
I like the layout (it's retro) but I HATE that art. Just terrible.
KrazyForKomix - 3/14/2014, 1:28 PM
@ CrimsonFlash

Point one: After the Fantastic Four, Daredevil is and has been might favorite hero for a very long time.

Point two: SEPARATE from point one – there must be a halfway point between complaining about comics being the same for years and years and years . . . AND celebrating the changing of art teams and rebooting every six months. Yes, BOTH of the previous characterizations are exaggerations. But somewhere there DOES exist a middle point.
