Seriously! What is up with all of these writers saying "You know that thing that makes a character awesome? Well lets take that away and fundamentally change that character's persona and do a story about that!!"

NO! Why take away wolverine's healing factor and immortality?

BC [frick] you. Thats why.
IDKwhatToChoose - 4/29/2014, 5:39 AM
With no healing factor wouldn't he just bleed out from his claws?
MrChuff - 4/29/2014, 5:40 AM
Oh man....

Ah yeah...
NightmareB4 - 4/29/2014, 5:42 AM
@IDKwhatToChoose Yes, he would also die from adamantium poisoning. X-Men #191 it is called virulently poisonous.
ProfessorX - 4/29/2014, 5:49 AM
The rose tattoo is so stupid.
ekrolo2 - 4/29/2014, 5:52 AM
He got pills from Beast that help him fight the poisoning, and his claws now come out of the gauntlets on his armor as a replacement to his actual ones he doesn't risk bleeding out after using them every time.
billnye69 - 4/29/2014, 5:57 AM
@ProX

Wolverine is a stupid character, his stupid tattoo goes with his stupid chops.
Jwe75 - 4/29/2014, 6:03 AM
Here's crazy thought.... Next solo for both: Wolverine vs Loki
marvel72 - 4/29/2014, 6:05 AM
thor would kick his ass,but saying that it should be a good fight.
InfiniteMonkey - 4/29/2014, 6:16 AM
I can't wait till they kill this guy off for a long time, say maybe a year or two for good effect.

He's bloody all over the place and leading all kinds of X-Men. Bleh.
fedup - 4/29/2014, 6:17 AM
@Demigods While it is clearly just another one of Marvel's "SO and SO WILL DIE" stories that have no weight at all, I think the appeal of doing a story of Wolverine losing the healing factor is the same as having any character lose their powers: to see them earn them back and prove they're worthy of them. For example, it's easy for Superman to be heroic, but take away his powers and put him in a situation where it's either be a hero and die or someone else dies, then suddenly he deserves to be Superman in the first place. Stuff like that.
thingrock4 - 4/29/2014, 6:21 AM
This whole thing sucks. Wolverine without healing is a boring bum who would die from all of the afore mentioned reasons. Plus he AIN'T AS BIG AS THOR. This would mark the first battle between those two and this is like a [frick]in throw away!!
zippiesdrainage - 4/29/2014, 6:29 AM
I'm tired of the sliding scale of how fast Wolverine heals. In some stories he needs several hours or even a day to recover from serious trauma, in others he gets ripped in half and crawls away to find his legs and reattach them.

Seriously, watch the first X-Men movie, after they find him getting in Canada, they take him back unconscious to the mansion where he awakens hours later, while in X3, Phoenix is tearing him apart down to his bones and he keeps walking.

Wolverine has become Superman. When a character has no real threat of dying, when they're too powerful, people get bored with the character.
Alfredo27 - 4/29/2014, 6:35 AM
this wolverine costume is something retarded. It makes his arms look bigger than the rest of his body. Also the points of his mask are so high it looks kind of like batman.

and now Wolverine. Again (Because they "killed him" to give him back his adamantium as the horseman, Death. And the "killed" him to bring him back under the control of Hydra).

They're just the Marvel ones I can list off the top of my head. All killed off and resurrected in the past few years. This bullshit is beyond a joke. It's poor story telling and quite frankly, I bored. I'm disappointed. And I just can't be arsed paying to read this monotonous dirge anymore. I'm done.
Alfredo27 - 4/29/2014, 6:46 AM
thor wouldnt kick his ass, maybe in a 2014 comic where Thor has movies and now some popularity, if they would have fought in 1990s Thor wouldnt have stood a chance because no one read him or cared about him or any of the avengers they were the B team to the Xmen. Funny how movie rights make you change your priorities.
Alfredo27 - 4/29/2014, 6:50 AM
for the most part all XMen related events since house of M (that being the dumbest idea maybe ever and directly linked to marvles desicion to try and make xmen less populare and avenegers more popular) have been like xmen on acid. Sharkgirl are you kidding me? Kid Omega is probably the only young Xmen I like and only probably because they have developed him from punk kid yearning for power to someone much more mature and adult.
Jebediah - 4/29/2014, 7:04 AM
Can wolverines claws cut Thor?
adamcawa - 4/29/2014, 7:07 AM
@Alfredo27

Uncanny X-Men is the best comic Marvel has going now that Superior Spider-Man is over. So it's not all pro-Avengers.

All-New X-Men is a fun read as far as character dynamics go, too.
0megaDaGod - 4/29/2014, 7:14 AM
This looks terrible. In the Civil War tie in he tried to fight the Sentry and got put down with the quickness. He should'nt last 8 seconds against Thor
Doopie - 4/29/2014, 7:30 AM
jimoakley

there's hope yet!
SecNotSure - 4/29/2014, 7:36 AM
@jimoakley Daredevil was never killed off.

That being said, not sure about this story. But I don't really follow wolverine.
CorndogBurglar - 4/29/2014, 7:36 AM
@ Alfredo

Are you crazy? Thor's power level is so far beyond Wolverine's its ridiculous. Thor can fly, and create lightning. If Thor just hovered in the air, he could strike Wolverine with lightning and then fly in to hit him with Mjolnir.

If Thor wanted, Wolverine wouldn't even be able to land a single finger on him.

This would be one of the most one-sided fights in all of comic history because Wolverine wouldn't even be able to hit Thor.
CorndogBurglar - 4/29/2014, 7:39 AM
@ Alfredo

Also, House of M wasn't written to make the X-Men less popular. They were already on a downward spiral due to crappy writing. House of M was an attempt to shake up the X-Men world to generate MORE sales.

Why on earth would a comic company want to make one of their comics LESS popular? Less popularity means less sales. Why would ANYONE do that?
KeefNCookies - 4/29/2014, 7:40 AM
One of the worst series I've ever read, and I've read a lot. SO few worthwhile these days...
Ineedrevelation - 4/29/2014, 7:57 AM

You just went full retarded. Thor would curbstomp Wolverine. He'd do it now and back then before he had any movies.
Alfredo27 - 4/29/2014, 8:06 AM
Wolverine cuts off Thors head with claws, if Wolverine claws cant cut off Thors head then Thor is a stupid comic book character because he is undefeateble even though he just got pawned by the daughter of archangel
case - 4/29/2014, 8:06 AM
Haha ineed. I'm hearing you...
CorndogBurglar - 4/29/2014, 8:06 AM
You guys complaining about the rose tattoo clearly don't know what you're talking about, or what it stands for. Do some research before you just start bashing it.
WYLEEJAY - 4/29/2014, 8:10 AM
An article I wrote focused on a brawl between these two. Ultimate Bad Ass Challenge part two. It was like a breakdown deadliest warrior style. Although Wolverine Def is capable of hurting Thor pretty badly, there's plenty of proof in the article and comments that Thor would win. Even without using his God Blast on Wolverine. Now without his healing factor he's screwed. Metals a conductor for electricity. He would get cooked from the inside out. Lol
TelaVizion - 4/29/2014, 8:11 AM
This current crisis to Wolvie have been great so far. And still loving the armored suit Doc Ock made for him.
mctrinket - 4/29/2014, 8:26 AM
Did he really get a stupid rose tattoo?

Also, wouldn't his healing factor make tattoos impossible on Logan?
Shroombeast - 4/29/2014, 8:27 AM
Alfredo doesn't know what the [frick] he's talking about. He's got an obvious fanboy bias towards Wolverine.
WYLEEJAY - 4/29/2014, 8:44 AM
Lol. Yeah I was rooting for Wolverine in my challenge. Gotta face the facts though. Thor would win.
silverhawk - 4/29/2014, 9:16 AM
Da fack!? Of all the tattoos they could give him, a rose...a damn rose? He doesn't even need a tattoo anyways. I like wolverine but even if he had his healing factor Thor would own his ass.
CorndogBurglar - 4/29/2014, 9:40 AM
Since so many people don't seem to know anything about Wolverine, I'll explain it.

The Rose is symbolic to his first love...her name was Rose. He accidentally killed her in Wolverine: Origin when he was fighting one of their childhood friends who turned bad.

Rose was his childhood friend from the time he was like 4 years old, and he later fell in love with her as a teenager, young adult.

There, can we quit complaining about the damn rose tattoo now?
