As part of the festivities, fans who visit participating retailers receive a free, special edition of DETECTIVE COMICS #27, featuring a reimagining of Batman’s 1939 comic book debut, designed by Chip Kidd with a script by The New York Times #1 bestselling author Brad Meltzer.

In addition to the comic book, DC Entertainment is providing retailers access to an assortment of other collectibles to help in the celebration of “Batman Day” including a Batman 75th anniversary cape, bookmarks featuring essential Batman graphic novels and four Batman masks designed by comic book artist Ryan Sook spotlighting a variety of the character’s iconic looks from his 75-year history.

They need to reveal that shit on his day. Wouldn't that make sense?
GareBear36 - 4/29/2014, 1:21 PM
Or maybe they'll release it a few days before Batman Day like Star Wars releasing the cast before May 4th.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 4/29/2014, 1:22 PM
Shouldn't Batman day be on May 27, the day the first Batman issue came out?
GareBear36 - 4/29/2014, 1:24 PM
Or June 26, the day his parents were shot?

This month was Daredevil's 50th Anniversary. I'm surprised Marvel didn't make a big deal out of it.

No batman themed jimmies? >:(
RolandD - 4/29/2014, 2:34 PM
If you are going to highlight certain points in Batman's history, there should be a Neal Adams mask. Without Denny O'Neill and Neal Adams, there would have been no Frank Miller's Batman.
McGee - 4/29/2014, 2:37 PM
No Batman themed leather bondage masks? Aww who am I kidding? I only have a chance at sex when the fat girl at Payless isn't on her period...
ChuckV - 4/29/2014, 2:43 PM
"Without Denny O'Neill and Neal Adams, there would have been no Frank Miller's Batman."

So true.... seems like for some reason, DC is overlooking that.
