STAR WARS EPISODE VII To Be Called THE ANCIENT FEAR?

A New Hope. An Ancient Fear. Get it? A bit on the nose perhaps, but rumour has it that the latter is indeed the working title for J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII, and it supposedly refers to the villain who will be played by legendary actor Max Von Sydow. Read on for details!

According to AICN, they believe that they've learned the title of Star Wars Episode VII. The same source reportedly informed them that the J.J. Abrams helmed follow-up to Return of the Jedi would shoot in Abu Dhabi, and then later claimed that the title of the movie will be The Ancient Fear. After running it past "lots of people in JJ's camp - including JJ" and getting no response (which the site believe in itself is suspicious), a separate source contacted them and gave the exact same title, stating that, "It refers to Max Von Sydow's villain who makes Pazuzu look like a pussy!" It could just be a production title similar to how The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was dubbed "London's Calling" during shooting, or we could all be watching Star Wars Episode VII: The Ancient Fear in 2015. On the other hand, it could be total BS. What do you guys think? Share your thoughts below!

That's interesting.

Although I would really geek out if the title was 'Wrath of the Mandalorians'.
Luke91 - 5/6/2014, 4:13 AM

It's hard to have an opinion on a title that is out of context. I feel the same way I felt when I first heard the title to Episode 1...
StingyFox - 5/6/2014, 4:22 AM
I like A NEW DAWN better. Idk. Just make an awesome movie, JJ.
ndwwrestler2 - 5/6/2014, 4:22 AM
Yeah I think Luke will have to pay for his father's mistake...

TheAbaryMan369 - 5/6/2014, 4:28 AM
"Wrath of the Younglings"
LOLOLOL

BTW, An Ancient Fear is one shitty title.
Doopie - 5/6/2014, 4:29 AM
it's true man, the younglings got no justice! Anakin manages to redeem himself by the end of RoTJ, but what about all the vicious murders he commits whilst he's the biggest douche in the universe?
IronAsgaardian95 - 5/6/2014, 4:30 AM
I'm diggin it. I had a feeling Von Sydow would be something of an Emperor Palpatine kind of guy.
pepe - 5/6/2014, 4:32 AM

MightyZeus - 5/6/2014, 4:43 AM
Max Von Sydow was a great villain in Flash Gordon.
SimyJo - 5/6/2014, 4:44 AM
Hey! - I'm just happy it has not got 'RISING' or 'RISES' in the title.
BillyBatson1000 - 5/6/2014, 4:45 AM
It's actually "Fear of Ancients" - inspired by Gusto.
ProfessorX - 5/6/2014, 4:45 AM
Great title!
SimyJo - 5/6/2014, 4:46 AM
And Max is the villain! - I knew it!... well, I HOPED for it. As good as an elder sage-like Jedi master he would also make - he does shine when he brings the villainy.
Brainiac13 - 5/6/2014, 4:48 AM
LOL!!

"It refers to Max Von Sydow's villain who makes Pazuzu look like a pussy!"
Brainiac13 - 5/6/2014, 4:48 AM
Yeah........I don't like it too!!!!
case - 5/6/2014, 4:51 AM
Whatever. It'll do. Don't [frick] this up JJ.

No pressure though...
remembertheking - 5/6/2014, 4:52 AM
nah aicn.com? wtf is this? some sort of rumourbot. no credibility with this site until they consistently break stories. Then only can i trust them. if someone like latinoreview or the wrap or such sites reported it then maybe yeah.

Star Wars--Episode 7: The Empire Is Still Technically Out There.
MrMartinMarvel - 5/6/2014, 5:05 AM
I think it's okay… I guess. I'm honestly not sure how I feel.

KallarkKent - 5/6/2014, 5:12 AM
It's ok, but it's not an exiting title if it turns out to be true.
