Glad she died

Glad that Ygritte died??? I was pretty devastated. Then again, redheads are a weakness of mine so maybe that's just me haha. Loved her as a character though.

And I'm as heterosexual as can be, but even I have to admit that Dany is wearing the hell out of that dress. Gorgeous.

I don't even know how it's possible, but I have even higher expectations for the season finale than I did for "Castle Black". Can't wait!

Can't wait. They really paced out the "big moments" of this season really well, and, as a book reader, I love that I can't fully predict what's coming, especially for Sansa.

Episode 9 was a bit of a let-down, though. Sure, they finally did a proper siege episode after the meh-tastic Blackwater, but I didn't really feel much emotion in it. I loved Jon and Ygritte's romantic arc (and the actress completely owned the part), but they tried to play her death up as a big emotional moment that just didn't work. The tragic end of their relationship was when he betrayed her and she shot him (and that scene was perfect).

Ygritte's death, on the other hand, was just a writer tying up loose ends with a character he didn't need any more. Maybe if they'd shown Jon regretting his decision or being jealous of Sam for having Gilly (or actually considering trying to get Ygritte to switch sides), but they didn't. We were just supposed to be sad she died because she died... how sad... *shrug* I liked her a lot, both in the books and the show, so I was an easy mark, but I didn't feel much when they killed her.

Comedian03 - Have you not been paying attention? Mance is the ONLY one who has been able to band the Wildings together! Jon has been saying that all season. Without Mance, they don't have a leader.

Anxiously awaiting the finale. I kinda hate the offed Grenn in the Castle Black episode, especially since he didn't die in the books (from what I hear anyway). Still working my way through the books. I'm about halfway through Book II: Class of Kings, but I'm enjoying both. Really want to see how Tyrion escapes with his head intact, and what happens when Bran reaches the tree. Obviously, the elves ie Children of the Forrest finally come on the scene, and I have a feeling they are going to change the whole dynamic of the series. Still wondering, what happened with Stannis. He got his gold and just disappeared? lol And finally, Dany's story line has gotten really stale, we need some Dragon fire to heat things up in the finale!
