NightWatcher - 8/5/2014, 2:04 PM
You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
shabat - 8/5/2014, 2:05 PM
I'm with you Sid. I can't wait for it.
Knightrider - 8/5/2014, 2:07 PM
@Sid I've always been looking forward to it. I think, even though it'll have elements of Batman's origin, this is really about Gotham's origin from Muggers and Killers to Super-Villain controlled hell hole. I think it'll be awesome if they say that the Wayne murders were the catalyst for Gotham's downfall, so it is all tied together to one moment in time.

I'm out of proctologist jokes for today.

There are the comics..THE BEST way to experience superhero worlds.
There are movies & tv shows & video games..Good stuff sometimes but consider them "Elseworlds" (DC)
or What If? (Marvel).
You recognize those formats as "alternate reality" it makes it more appealing to watch. End.

Looking forward to this show
Humperdink - 8/5/2014, 2:10 PM
I will definitely check it out. I'm excited about these new comic book TV series from Marvel and DC.

I'm the kind of guy that enjoys the best of both comic book worlds.

Why choose?

Anybody else feel like this little kid playing Bruce Wayne seems like a pu**y?
I'm getting like a "lack of balls" vibe from this kid. And its not his age that is doing it.
DCGuy - 8/5/2014, 2:10 PM

@ Deschain99

Lack of balls? Unless Bruce is growing up in Compton CA I am pretty sure any kid would look and act like a puss when you parents get gunned down in front of you..............

mmadadamm - 8/5/2014, 2:59 PM
where's Carmine Falcone? Sal Maroni? Rupert Thorne? there's a plethora of mob bosses in Batman comics they didnt need to make one up.

I love the Gotham skyline they've mad up tho, one of the few things Nolans batman films were lacking was a city with ambiance
JoeMomma29 - 8/5/2014, 3:00 PM
@ mmadadamm

Actually I think they introducing Falcone into the show.............
typicalfanboy - 8/5/2014, 3:02 PM
oh snap! it said beginning that was obviously a nod to batman begins. it's also has a bridge, that's a nod to the bridge between hero and vigilante that batman must never cross. also being on "fox" means the terrible trio will make an appearance or 3 ;)...
aRandomSinisterClone - 8/5/2014, 3:14 PM
how about your write some words describing the Easter eggs man. do a lil work man.
Deschain99 - 8/5/2014, 3:17 PM
@JoeMomma

I didn't say a pu**y when or because his parents died. I meant he just feels like an all around pu**y. The kid in Batman Begins parents died too but he still felt like he had baby balls. . . . . . . I said baby balls . . .heh heh heh balls. Nah but the kid just feels kinda sissy is all.
KryptoKNIGHT - 8/5/2014, 3:29 PM
My only rule for this show is no costumes. One of the things ive always found interesting about Batmans history is the several times explored theme that Batman was the cause of the rise of costumed villains and how hes indirectly responsible for the surge of crazies in Gotham. It puts a different spin on the Watchmen type explanation that criminals wore masks and the masks became more elaborate until the vigilantes began wearing masks too.
jimdotbeep - 8/5/2014, 3:35 PM
@SidTheSloth The answer to your question is yes.
KryptoKNIGHT - 8/5/2014, 3:40 PM
Also, i don't know what the show runners have planned as far as seasonal story arcs, but ive always had an idea for a show that time jumps a few YEARS between seasons, perhaps only 2 or 3 years, no massive leaps. I think GOTHAM would be the perfect vehicle for such a template. So we get to explore more territory of that universe and also see the long standing effects of the events of the previous season. Plus we get to explore the bulk of Bruces important years of development from kid to hero. Idk about you guys nut idk if this show has the legs to last until that kid grows up to play adult Bruce. Plus my gut feeling is hrs gonna be an awkward looking teen.
Humperdink - 8/5/2014, 3:46 PM
@JoeMomma29

Like Gump did?

TheDarkKryptonian - 8/5/2014, 5:49 PM
Everything I think about Ivy Pepper, I cringe a little.
BlindJustice - 8/5/2014, 8:03 PM
This looks like an interesting show... I'll hold judgement until I see it though.

I'm curious how many Batman fans will be mad if it doesn't meet their expectations.
