Good for them.

Money doesn't equal quality though and if it does then I guess Avatar is the best movie of all time.

Think about it, Marvel still has at least two more phases planned after this. Can you imagine how much money they'll both add to the pile? Until inflation inevitably starts working its old black magic, Marvel is gonna be on top for a LOOOOOONNNNNGGGG ass time.

@Superherodude1

Why bring up MOS? Like who give a [frick] and bring it up? It was a shit movie, we all know that, we all moved on.

Money is both the greatest thing in the world and the root of all evil. $So far all the MCU films have been great to ok but money doesn't equal quality.

@KingPatel

Thank you.

Also I hope Brady breaks his leg since the fantasy team I'm playing this week has Brady as their QB.

Still not over the fact that AOU was considered a "flop".

It should be noted that the MCU is a cinematic universe made up of interconnected film franchises. The MCU itself is not a franchise.

THE AVENGERS is a franchise. The Hulk is a franchise. IRON MAN is a franchise. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is a franchise. AGENTS OF SHIELD is a franchise. The MCU is a shared universe that franchises take place in. As great as the MCU is, it's absurd to call it "one of the highest grossing franchises of all time."

Disney executives are rejoycing : they bought the studio for $4 billions 5/6 years ago..

The franchise hit $9B of revenues from theatrical run in 7 years and even more with the addition of DVDS, Blu rays, TV rights.

Add the $1.7+ Billion of yearly merchandising revenues and Disney is laughing all the way to the bank !

Money is the greatest thing in the world? Really?

RT scores mean jackshit. IM3 (Lethal Weapon 5), IM2 and Age of Ultron (One Week of Ultron) were nonsense, still got some decent RT scores though. They did big bank sure. MoS made more bank than the bottom six on that list but I don't know why thats relevant in a Marvel thread?

@Omarvls

Preach. Road to Perdition. One of the best CBMs of all time by our man Sam Mendes. Watchman 'the unfilmable film' was still a great CBM despite its poor performance. Box Office is not a signifier of a great film.
