I really fluctuate from being totally sold on this to being very very hesitant.

I'm not sure Reynolds is the right guy for this role (though obviously a better choice than for Hal Jordan). He doesn't really sell the manic homicidal edge that I've always liked in the character, but tends to seem more jokey. That may be more the writing of the marketing material, though.

Deadpool is a tough character, so I'm almost certainly not going to jump down the movie's throat for doing him "wrong" the way I might for someone more straightforward... I dunno... Fingers crossed.

I feel like maybe Glenn Howerton could really have dropped the few registers and sold the psychopathy in a way that Reynolds' leading man vibe doesn't really (at least for me).



Of course, if Glenn Howerton had been pushing for Fox to make this movie, they never would have, so I'll take what I can get...

Holy crap on a cracker! That guy would have been perfect for Deadpool! He makes Ryan Renolds performance look like was catered towards a pg-rated family film (hehe, the irony).

Seriously, I can literally see him as Deadpool in those scenes. It's insane (no pun intended)

Reynolds is the perfect choice for Deadpool. He has basically lived this character for almost 10 years. Not to mention Reynolds's acting chops and his action capabilities. It's his movie. He's the reason we're getting the movie. All Hail Canada, [frick]ers.

If I had to think of another actor to play Wade...the only other name that comes to mind is Ben Foster.

This promo is glorious. The next 12 days are gonna be better than sex...with Gusto.

These ads work for fans of Deadpool, but is it working for a general audience?

I maintain that Ryan Reynolds is box office poison, and every CBM he's ever been in has been a critical and/or box office failure. I hope his fortune changes, but making this movie rated R, I think was a mistake.

Is Fox gonna neuter the character when he starts showing up in X-Men movies?
A hard PG13 would have been a better strategy instead of overcompensating with ultra violence and tittays.
