Marvel Studios' much-anticipated Captain America movie has quite a number of characters included from the comics, with a fine ensemble at their portrayal. And though the Joe Johnston-directed film has a couple of months of filming to go, another role in the film may have been discovered.

The ever doubtful Internet Movie Database (IMDB) has English actress Natalie Dormer, known for her roles in Casanova & Showtime series The Tudors, listed as "Private Lorraine" on The First Avenger's profile.

Let me reiterate that this rumor is based purely from speculation. But many U.K. locals & I believe Dormer is actually playing the role of Viper, formerly known as Madame Hydra. And that her "Private Lorraine" identity is an alias in the film, or simply a cover-up from the studio.

And aside from looking similar to one of many takes of the character (pictured right), Dormer is quite talented, enjoys fencing as a sport, and is a member of the London Fencing Academy. So if Madame Hydra were to see any action, a physical encounter with Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) perhaps, don't let Ms. Dormer's dainty looks fool you.

At one point in the "Captain America" comics, where she first appeared, Madame Hydra was found as a charming tendency from Red Skull, who then pursued a relationship with her for a while. That relationship, however soon ended when the Skull found out Viper was using his resources to finance massacres with no apparent financial benefit for either of them.

So evidently, Madame Hydra's role in The First Avenger could very well be the woman behind "the man", Johann Shmidt aliased Red Skull (Hugo Weaving), and his own branch of the German Army, HYDRA.

As I mentioned before, the fact there are many other characters in the film to focus on, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) most importantly, I could be looking into things too much. If true however, what do you think?
