Unique HYDRA Tank Spotted on Latest Filming Location for Captain America Movie

UPDATED: Exclusive on-location images from the set of Captain America have been exposed, showing preparation at the new location, a new HYDRA tank, & Cap himself.

As the production of the much-anticipated Captain America movie went out with a "huge" bang, concluding filming in Caerwent, Wales, they have now moved to the Southern coast of England, Hampshire; right on schedule. These Exclusive images come to us courtesy of Darren Griffin, who recognized the crew by a HYDRA logo planted on the side of unique tank, settled on the top of Beacon Hill Road. The location is said to act as a prison, that in reality is under construction.

UPDATE: I just came in contact with this blurry image of Chris Evans' stunt double, suited up and ready to go, located at this same Hampshire set. What's being filmed is uncertain, but possibly coinciding with these past set images, we do know that a prison at this location is being built. And a mini-tank is settled at the gate ready to fire; what do you think?










I know one thing I'm looking forward to seeing when the movie comes to DVD, is the collection of all of Red Skull's unique HYDRA branded vehicles & products. Anyhow, filming for Captain America: The First Avenger in Hampshire is said to begin tomorrow November 8, while the film is set for theaters July 22, next year. Nice one DCMF! :) I'm loving the look of these HYDRA vehicles...where the hell are they hiding Cap and Bucky during all this filming that's going on though, lol? :P I guess we shouldnt be surprised that Marvel wouldnt let anyone catch a glimpse of them until they decide the time is right though!

@JoshW Hydra vehicles are pretty bad ass, agreed on Cap % Buck it seems like we've seen a few out of costume photos of Cap but we have yet to see costume photos and haven't seen any Bucky photos whatsoever must be by design but they are doing a good job of keeping costume photos under wraps or they just haven't filmed outside with costumes or at all yet...

Thanks! @Josh, these HYDRA vehicles are causing me to like the idea of HYDRA replacing the Nazis as the main antagonist, more and more. Awesome!

There will be some Nazis in this WWII movie, right? And maybe the Chitauri? Jerry Skrulls, that's what this movie needs. And more tiny tanks. Tiny tanks are funky.

Brilliant update DCMF! Perhaps this follows on from the motorbike chase sequence we saw the stuntman filming a few months back!? Oh, and I see where you're coming from about HYDRA replacing the Nazis as the main antagonists, but the Nazis still need to be there even if it's only for a few seconds/minutes!

Considering that in the audio from the footage shown at comic-con of Red Skull talking to Hitler, my super amazing logic (sarcasm) presumes confirmation that the Nazi's will indeed, be present. To what degree none of us know. Since Cap is basically fighting two wars though; it really doesn't matter. Weaving also confirmed that the film acknowledges Hitler on more than one occasion via his character Johann Schmit AKA Red Skull, in an interview at comic-con with MTV when he said something along the lines of "Johann isn't do impressed with Adolf--".

So aside from the fact that the Nazi's will be in this movie, how much, to what extend or at what points in the movie no one other than the production team knows. But; Hydra is more dangerous to the world than "regular" Nazi's, so they're a sensible "extra obstacle", if you will, for Cap's super powered self to over come on top of the historically sinister regular force that, briefly conquered most of Europe... JUST ENCASE SOME OF YOU HADN'T ALREADY HEARD :P

And so 12 million dollars of CGI editing and countless hours of work by graphic artist was spent in post; making this guy look less fat and replacing his likeness with Chris Evans. While another 12 was spent on editing out his double chin...

Now that's what I call practical EFFICIENCY! lul

The funny thing is, I'm sure cap will look great in the movie. But when I see the photo of the stunt double , I can't help but think he looks like his costume doesn't fit and he looks dull...

@Jarren Hunter Oh, Im 100% sure the Nazis will be included in present in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I was saying HYDRA will be the main antagonist of THIS movie though.

It'll be a kick in the nuts for the U.S. that most
of the filming seems to be in the UK being that it
is Captain America and all.

In saying that, im not complaining. If its MARVEL studios i trust them to do whats best for the avenger series of films.

This one looks like a cross between an Abrams tank (I hope I spelled that one right) and a dune buggy. This really good stuff, great find.

@Intruder- Have you never been to England? Much more modern per square mile than the states. Culture-wise, at least. If you're ever there, check out Bristol, Leeds and Brum, not just London. Besides, was America even invented in the '40s?

It only makes sense that it would take place in England more than the US. WWII never reached American soil except for some Japanese balloons. As for culture being more advanced in London or any other place in Europe I must say define culture?

wow seems like some of you guys actually believe the myth that america won the war and the UK would have lost without them...how foolish.

Man, I hope the stunt guy's suit is a different, less detailed version that's just there for the colors, because he looks effing terrible. If not, hopefully the photography or lighting will make it look heroic and, you know, dignified.
