Chatting briefly with USA Today, the actors behind the "big three" of Marvel Studios' The Avengers, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Hemsworth discuss the successful box office results for their solo flicks, and how it's influences their bond. With a line from the studios' president, Kevin Feige, read on below!

Hemsworth says, "I shot [Chris Evans] a few texts over (opening) weekend. "It was like, 'You beat The Wizard! Down with Potter!' With Captain America working it's like, 'OK good,''' says Hemsworth. "We're still on track with this ensemble. It gives each of us a bump."

Downey says, "I'll just say it, There's an aspect of my psyche that doesn't want anyone to do as well as me…it's part of human nature, survival of the fittest and all that. But it's so nice to root for each other in Hollywood," he adds. "Intentionally or not, Marvel has created an atmosphere of camaraderie. It's a team really."

Evans says, "Once it does well, you can just let it go,", adding that the only way he celebrated the robust numbers was "by not thinking about it."

Feige states, "It's all very, very supportive," he says. "These guys are all in this together"

Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. With director Joss Whedon at it's helm, and an ensemble cast including Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Chris Hemsworth (Thor Odinson), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff), Clark Gregg (Agt. Phil Coulson), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), with Tom Hiddleston (Loki Laufeyson), and Stellan Skarsgard (Professor Erik Selvig), the film releases worldwide May 4, 2012!

Chris' performance in Thor was incredible..
But I don't like his look in this one. The hairdo in this one makes him look too feminine:S

I love that Hemsworth texted Evans after Cap beat Potter on opening weekend. I sense a bromance brewing. :) And I love that Downey is so supportive of both of them too.

I've been noticing a severe lack of Ruffalo/Hulk in this movies promotion. There were a couple interviews when he was still cast, but as of now he's the biggest unknown element in this flick for me. I WANT TO BE PUT AT EASE OR BRING BACK EDWARD NORTON DAMN IT!

I'm going to guess they're saving HULK for the big reveal. He definitely has to make his appearance in the full trailer. No way around that.

@avengerfan85 It may be a sign he does not gell with the others. Or because he has no movie to compare with the others.

@Dahamma, the poster & trailer were released a couple weeks ago. And you can't expect a longer, more comprehensive trailer when the movie is still shooting and a year away. Probably won't get a better trailer until Christmas.
