Product placement in the extended Super Bowl ad reassured us that, similar to previous Marvel Studios flicks, despite a new distributor, an eventual Dr. Pepper marketing campaign would launch for The Avengers upon release. And now, the Youtube channel for the "uniquely blended" beverage has made things official merging the first look at their eight limited edition, collectible cans, with the latest theatrical trailer. Check it out below!

UPDATE: Jeremy Renner's "Hawkeye" features on the first officially revealed collectible can!

Although the campaign, which'd offer promotional give-aways & exclusive content, hasn't officially launched, it may have kicked off early outside the states. @fishirulez of Mexico has posted personal photos of a couple cans.

Stan Lee took part in the campaigns for both Iron Man 2 and Thor, cameoing in both of their commercials. Don't expect The Avengers tie-in commercial until April next month, but until then, rewatch the other films'.

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures “Marvel’s The Avengers”--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, & directed by Joss Whedon from a screenplay by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble on May 4, 2012. The film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In addition to "Marvel's The Avengers," Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013!; and “Thor 2” on November 15, 2013.

damn i love this trailer, but i have a theory to why Cap, Thor and Ironman get into the fight in the woods.

Maybe Thor knows that Loki can mind control people, and he senses that either Cap or IM is under his control and tells them he knows one of them is(this would be the scene with the three of them standing around looking at each other). Thor may suspect it's Cap that's being controlled and attacks (scene where he is coming down to strike cap who raises his shield). Then a couple things may happen:

1. Cap convinces Thor that its not him and then IM attacks Thor

2. it was Cap but Loki just moves on to take over IM, then attacks Thor (this can show how quickly and easily Loki can mind control people)

3. OR, Thor may be the one that's under control and Loki being who he is convinces Cap and IM its one of them, but then proceeds to attack them where he gets beat. (may lead to the scene where Thor is in the "prison" thing)

then again this is all just a theory and i could be 100% wrong lol (the most likely scenario)

@njdevil - SPOILERS

Actually on the leaked storybook we've learnt that Cap, Widow and IM were taking Loki in custody when Thor bumps on the Quinjet roof. Then the fight happens. Thor wants to take Loki to be judged in Asgard.
