New THE AVENGERS Clip Features Heated Exchange Between Nick Fury And Maria Hill

During an evacuation, Nick Fury and Maria Hill have a heated exchange of words in a brief new clip from Marvel's The Avengers captured during CBS' Late Show with David Letterman show!

Kicking off promotional rounds for this summer's anticipated Marvel's The Avengers movie, 'Maria Hill' actress Cobie Smulders made a guest appearance on CBS' Late Show with David Letterman tonight. And in addition to revealing that she attended an early screening, declaring the cut "really, really good," she also debuted a new clip from the film. Showcasing bumpy work-relationship between Hill and Nick Fury, watch the clip below!



Captain America star Chris Evans was also spotted in Sao Paulo, Brazil promoting the film!

I had my doubts for Cobie. Looks like she's a good fit. I love HIMYM. Can't wait to see more dialogue between her and Fury!

For some reason I'm not really feeling this scene. You figure Marvel could find better scenes to promote the movie. You know, perhaps a scene with Smulders and one of the actual Avengers people are going to pay money to go see.

Still going to see this movie, and I still expect it to be the best of all the Marvel movies. I just wish we had some better scenes promoting it. All we have gotten is two scenes with ancillary characters. I can't wait until Hemsworth, Downey Jr, Ruffalo and Evans make the talk show circuit. Then we should really see some bad ass scenes.

Personally never like Hill that much in the comics, especially after Civil War, but hey, I never turn down looking at a pretty face none-the-less.

RidiculousFanBoyDemands: I don't really think Marvel was really 'promoting' with this clip. This was honestly just that- a clip that to my knowledge that isn't being used to promote anything outside of Cobie and showcasing her role in a movie.

Every clip promotes the movie. They try to pick the best clips that will draw in the average movie goer that happens to watch Letterman before bed. What I wish they would do is show some of these ancillary character with one of the Avengers. I understand it is supposed to showcase Cobie, but she is there to promote the movie.

I did sit through the excruciating Letterman interview just to watch a new clip. Letterman is so stale and unfunny. I can't watch it unless of a chance of some clip like this. Needless to say, no spoilers, she isn't even in the frame with any Avenger. Shit clip,on a shit show.

Wondering why people are complaining....
Cobie Smulders is on the show as a guest. She's a TV actress. She could use some self promotion. Oh, and why on Earth would they find a clip that doesn't have her in it? Whining about Maria Hill and Nick Fury being used to promote the film? Well I'm pretty sure this was selected because it is Samuel L Jackson that she is working with. PROMOTION, people.

Yeah, thats the one problem with Evans that i don't get, he has in other interviews that he hated getting bigger for Cap. If he's not gonna try to look the part then its gonna take away some of the visual for Cap . He already was getting smaller during filming of AVENGERS.

SharkKnight TDKR: 8 years after TDK, Batman gives up being Batman (Spider-Man 2 anyone?) But Mysterious Mortal Kombat guy is wrecking havoc upon Gotham (Last 2 Bat films anyone?)Bruce decides to fight him, gets his ass handed to him. Bruce finds out about Talia, and Bane, etc, Alfred gives him the erection speech and Batman dons his puzzle piece suit once more to fight the protruding force and loses/wins and decides Gotham is safe, and gives up being Batman. And we haven't even gotten a decent trailer yet, SMH, and you say Avengers will be bland, Joss is one of the most creative minds in the world, meanwhile Nolan rehashes shit repeatedly, as well as actors. You enjoy your Batman Law and Order: Criminal Intent and we'll enjoy a comic book adaptation superhero movie that deserves it's hype.

Or try for a job with marvel studios as you seem to be an expert. You could be a great asset to them. Or better still shut your mouth and wait for the best scenes at the movies. Because I want to see promotion of the actual stars of the film. Your telling me they couldn't find a scene showcasing Cobie with Thor, Cap, The Hulk or Iron Man? Just take it down a notch dude, no need to get pissy because you don't like what people say. The point of promoting the film is to get people on the fence to go see the movie. If I were an average film goer, neither of the scenes would sway me to fork over money to see this film. I want this film to be huge, and I would prefer (again this is just my opinion) that they showcase the actual stars of this movie. Not Nick Fury and the ancillary characters. Show us some damn Avengers clips!

Yeah I noticed that too, he's probably just on an off cycle with the supplements, and other things ;-). After all the intense training he did to his body getting in shape for this role, his body needs a month or two to recover. It's not healthy for anyone to lift weights 12 months out of the year, you should take significant time off at least twice a year or risk doing harm to your body. I bet he will come back looking bigger for the next movie.
