This was great. Hulk vs. Thor was some of the best yet. "You need to think, Banner!"
GreenHalJordan - 5/12/2012, 8:25 AM
Look at how beefed he is! Damn, this movie is a masterpiece!
GiantNerd0720 - 5/12/2012, 8:27 AM
I think it will take me about eight times to fully appreciate how awesome that fight was.
ckal - 5/12/2012, 8:32 AM
Loved their fight!

Loved that Whedon gave Thor some props. Thor got some hits in without Mjolnir, and then that massive uppercut with Mjolnir! Just imagine if Thor used lightning on Hulk like he did to those Leviathon's at the end of the movie, Hulk would be fried!
GreyChaos13Zero - 5/12/2012, 8:32 AM

they were working so good together then that happened. HaHa!!!

love this scene?)

StrangerX - 5/12/2012, 8:42 AM
I like the Chitauri concept better than the movie
Mystery - 5/12/2012, 8:43 AM
My only complaint was that the fight between Hulk and Thor could have been a bit longer
Darkhawk8 - 5/12/2012, 8:59 AM
@ thalidomide you're on a roll lol.
I loved this fight scene. I wish it lasted a bit longer.
Darkhawk8 - 5/12/2012, 9:00 AM
@ironman53 hell yeah man! This is a movie you MUST see on the big screen as many times as you can. lol
Darkhawk8 - 5/12/2012, 9:07 AM
lol how about some booty?
VIRILEMAN - 5/12/2012, 9:09 AM
Actually my first thought was "Loki put up a fight with Thor, but HULK took out Loki no problem." So HULK > Thor
White - 5/12/2012, 9:11 AM
@thalidomide

Who is she?!

Thor vs Hulk was awesome... Can't wait to see Hulk and Thor versus Thanos!

Boobs make this site unic... But who is that bikini girl?
ironpool007 - 5/12/2012, 9:50 AM
I'm not a huge fan of the Hulk, but the way he was portrayed in The Avengers was nothing short of groundbreaking. For once, he actually looked like a bigger angry version of Bruce Banner. Not even the comics have been able to do that. You can really see Mark Ruffalo's face and expressions, and he also looks a lot like the Jack Kirby design.
MadTitan - 5/12/2012, 9:52 AM
those cool chicks in bikinis---

may i add., those make hot heads cool faster than any ice pack available. and they unite folks on either side of the fence. lol
spideyxmenfan307 - 5/12/2012, 9:59 AM
Dam, this fight was awesome! BTW, I have not introduced myself, I am new here, and I love comic book movies (well not the sucky ones) so hi.
Greengo - 5/12/2012, 10:03 AM
Sup Avengersfan welcome to the partay!

MadTitan - 5/12/2012, 10:04 AM
lol, right Ironman53.

@avengersfan307 - welcome! just a heads up though, crybabies and whiners never win here so don't be one. lol
coalesce - 5/12/2012, 10:10 AM
Looks like I have to see this a fifth time.
Jimdlux - 5/12/2012, 10:18 AM
Awwwwww! I missed the girls in bikinis?

THIS MOVIE WAS HORRIBLE!!!!

Ha! Made you look! There will never be a better CBM then The Avengers...until Avengers 2 comes out! Hulk use to be my #2 favorite comic book character. After the sneak punch to Thor and what he did to Loki moved him to the #1 position. I would have loved to see Norton as the Hulk, but Ruffalo did a spot on job! Awesome job Whedon!
kevberg - 5/12/2012, 11:20 AM
LOL...THORS fighting with toy Hulk Hands....
BigThor - 5/12/2012, 11:48 AM
@VIRILEMAN - Hulk caught Loki off guard by atatcking him mid sentence, plus he didn't have his spear when he faced Hulk.

Plus if was obvious that thor was holding back due to their relationship, those sure are alot of details you over looked.
Hulk2008 - 5/12/2012, 12:27 PM
Loki needs a staff to stop Hulk?

No contest.

Can wait to see Hulk fight Thanos in Avengers 2

Hulk2008 - 5/12/2012, 12:30 PM
@NolanIsEmperor

I am all stoked about TDKR but Avengers are ruling and may beat TDK in the #3 spot.

I think that TDKR will get a boost from Avengers and may be equal to TDK.

Dark Knight Rises and Amazing Spiderman are the other top movies for this summer!!!!!
Scabsallover - 5/12/2012, 12:34 PM
Cool bits of behind the scenes shots. 4 times? If you and your lady has seen it 4 times... That's $80 appx. you've spent on this movie.
dahamma - 5/12/2012, 12:39 PM
Im jsut glad the Hulk Vs THor fight was accurate. Unlike the animated movie where hulk TOTALLY dominated Thor. I was like this crap is unreal. But they got it right in The Avengers, they looked evenly matched, but of course Hulk is wayyyy more savage lol

Best Hulk/Banner yet btw
sexfoodcomics - 5/12/2012, 1:13 PM
that chitari design is sick!!! Granov is an art god!!!
Gerrit - 5/12/2012, 2:08 PM
The fight was amazing!!! Even though Thor was just trying to restrain Hulk while the green goliath was on a rampage and it still looked as if they were on the same level. It would be too much awesomeness to see BOTH fighting with their full strength.
JDUKE25 - 5/12/2012, 3:11 PM
There better be A LOT of special features on the blu-ray or I'm gonna pissed.
Lizardking310 - 5/12/2012, 3:28 PM
wish there was more hulk in the actual movie
Supersonicboobs - 5/12/2012, 4:24 PM
Avengers is extremely overrated! Whedon does not bring the emotional characteristics that was established in individual movies.the comedy is directed at children and the realism in the film went out the door with Black widow being unhurt while captain and thor gets beat up against the same enemies. Its is an invasion and they only move up and down the street!

It does not even connect the dots with the previous movies! How does black widow and hawkeye survive the battle and the G-forces of the alien vehicle. They do not explain Thor comeback, they did not even show Asgard.
The hulk was a children's version of hulk compared to the previous movie ed norton.
This is what people are going crazy with on this site...come on.- this movie provides entertainment but it is a family comedy superhero movie nothing more!

1st class,ed norton hulk, and Dark knight was way way better.
vtopa - 5/12/2012, 7:13 PM
Best hit of the whole movie. Thor puts the hammer into Hulk's jaw! CLANNNNNGGGGG!
rockstar728 - 5/12/2012, 8:17 PM
Thor's a daddy now!
ArmoredAsgardian - 5/12/2012, 9:37 PM
@Supersonicboobs, Lol what? Literally none of your points make any sense just words of a rambling hater. Whedon stayed true to all the characters emotional characteristics. Why not give some examples, jackass? Oh yeah the comedy was SO directed at kids (that must be why mostly ADULTS were laughing in the theaters I was in)And you must be trippin' if you think the Ed Norton wimp Hulk was better than the one in Avengers. [frick]ing taking lasers like a boss. Dumb prick.
Jimdlux - 5/12/2012, 11:31 PM
@Supersonicboobs

Avengers is extremely overrated!?!? Whedon "very much" brought the emotional characteristics that was established in individual movies. Your problem is this wasn't an individual movie! The comedy was not directed at children, it was directed at young adults and adults! Your basis of the realism for the film was totally wrong! Lets take a look at your gripes:

#1, The Black Widow being unhurt while Cap and Thor gets beat up against the same enemies. A fan of the Avengers would know that the Black Widow is a version of the super soldier program herself. She was administered her version of the Russian super soldier formula in the 1920s (which slowed her aging). So in other words she has about 60 years of combat experience over Captain America. So your argument of how she can stand up to the fight would be the same question as to how Cap stood up in the fight.

#2, its an invasion and they only move up and down the street. If you paid attention, Stark's conversation with Cap stated that Loki must take out the "the Heroes" first, because they would stand in their way regardless! The aliens attacked the city to attack the Avengers. When Iron Man passed through the portal, it was clear the rest of the armada stood waiting for the full invasion.

#3 It does not even connect the dots with the previous movies...which movies were you talking about? Matched up with the ones I saw...

#4, How does Black Widow and Hawkeye survive the battle and the G-forces of the alien vehicles. Once again you weren't paying attention. I've already stated that Widow has enhanced abilities and the "G-forces" very much did effect her. It took her about 30 seconds to take about 4 steps. How many steps can you take in 30 seconds? Hawkeye was never on said vehicles. As a matter of fact, Cap told Hawkeye to take a rooftop and coordinate the attack. Are you saying a human can't do that?

#5, they do not explain Thor's comeback, they did not even show Asgard. The movie was called The Avengers, not Thor 2! The explanation they gave was more then enough for his appearance, "Odin must have scrounged together all the dark magic he could muster to get you here without the Bifrost". Once again, you weren't paying attention...

#6, The Hulk was a children's version of Hulk compared to the previous movie with Ed Norton. First let me say that I would have very much would have liked to have seen Ed Norton playing Banner. That said, Ruffalo did a fine job playing the Hulk. The attack in the Helicarrier was very intense and captured the Hulk's rage completely. How often does the Hulk fight an opponent that can stand up to him and not want to kill him... Then later, the Hulk has never been encouraged to attack in a team. He is usually being hunted... How would anyone be able to determine how he would act.

YES! This is what people are going crazy with on this site. This movie was more then entertaining, Whedon done what no one else could or would have tried. He brought together Earth's Mightiest Heroes successfully.

I liked Batman Begins, but not everyone did, mostly Nolanites. Total world gross 372 million in its whole run. I liked The Dark Knight, but was it the Nolanites or the Heath Ledgers portrayal of the Joker that was unique and, even by other cast members, quite frightening that brought it to 1 billion its whole run?

The Avengers broke the opening night records set by the Harry Potter films (not a comic book movie). It made over 640 million IN ITS 1ST WEEK! The first week hadn't even past yet and Disney had already green lighted part 2. Its suspected to reach (surpass) 1 billion by this Sunday.

It's one thing to dislike the Avengers movie, its another to say the TDKR will be better, because we don't know. "IN MY OPINION" from the trailers I've seen and the horrible portrayal of Bane in the film, there is no way TDKR will be better then the Avengers. The simple fact that they come out and say that this is the last movie for Nolan and Bale also makes it lame.

I'm going with the numbers...The Avengers was a better movie then the Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and it will be a better movie then The Dark Knight Rises.
peppy - 5/13/2012, 6:17 AM
Best comic book movie ever
aztecRaingod - 5/13/2012, 7:03 AM
Shit, this was WAY better the second time around. I also recommend seeing it in 2D over 3D.
VIRILEMAN - 5/13/2012, 7:42 AM
@BigThor

Look at your name. Bias much? In the final fight scene with Thor and HULK, the HULK was winning. He was throwing him around the room much like he was with Loki. Then a bigger threat showed up. Thor wasn't even as big a threat as the jet come the end.
Jimdlux - 5/13/2012, 10:31 AM
To recap after The Avengers has broke 1 billion...SUCK IT BATMAN!!!
