As Marvel Studios’ next cinematic outing post this year's highest grossing film, The Avengers, Iron Man 3 is guaranteed a number of marketing partnerships, and product placements. And with the great nation of China reportedly featuring in the actioner's plot, Chinese multinational electronics company TCL is the first of many international brands that have inked a deal with Disney Studios.

TCL will engage in product placement and a series of tie-in promotions and marketing collaborations with Iron Man 3. TCL is among many Chinese enterprises actively exploring overseas opportunities through marketing deals with Hollywood projects.

“We are looking at a full range of marketing possibilities for both TCL and our Hollywood partners; it is not just product placement,” Hao Yi, chief sales officer of TCL Multimedia and president of TCL’s Overseas Business Center told Screendaily.

Anyhow, filming for the Shane Black-helmed crisis thriller officially wrapped this week, leaving the film in the post-production stage, and over five months of anticipation til its release. And coinciding with the marketing collaboration reported above, I recently stumbled across an all-new promotional photo featuring the Armored Avenger. Check out the image below, and hit to enlarge.

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968. “Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures & DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing & Jon Favreau, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee & Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film hits May 3, 2013, & is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

FirstAvenger - 11/8/2012, 9:41 PM
As long as it's gold and not cream I'm cool.
superotherside - 11/8/2012, 9:50 PM
I really like it as well, hoping that that isn't the only armor he has in the film though. I'm thinking it's the first version of the Extremis armor one that he doesn't control with his brain... perhaps that's why he was having trouble with it in the comic con footage? Then in the final act he might get a new one or something.
jingorot - 11/8/2012, 9:57 PM

The new armor colors are growing on me. The artwork for the suit looks awesome because of the gold color, rather than the yellow that's used in the actual movie.
Kayo - 11/8/2012, 10:43 PM

With markets shifting more and more to the more fictionally open minded asian part of the world, we will see more fantastical elements in our movies. YAY for Asia
DEFENDER - 11/9/2012, 12:41 PM
ben kingsley is absolutley the stupidest choice to play the mandarin.
DEFENDER - 11/9/2012, 12:43 PM
jesus christ can anybody not see how stupid & how old he looks?
DEFENDER - 11/9/2012, 12:45 PM
who is the dumb stupid retarded oxymoron that cast ben kingsley in a movie like this?
DEFENDER - 11/9/2012, 12:49 PM
OMG, OMG, OMG, marvel please remove this tired old person ben kingsley from playing the mandarin. he looks more like a super senior crusty old decrepid homeless man rather than a supervillain.
DEFENDER - 11/9/2012, 12:51 PM
this movie will fail miserably soley on the extremely poor & really stupid casting choice of ben kingsley.
SugarYumYum - 11/10/2012, 7:44 AM
Coolio~ yeah, the suit has grown on my as well. :)
BasedThanos - 11/14/2012, 11:44 AM
The suit is sick, He's called the GOLDEN Avenger for a reason. I was getting tired of the same color scheme. Haters can suck it.
