It's been years, but wolverine did not start this with Nitro. Nitro did in fact cause the blast in the comics, but I think it was Speedball with his group "something" forgot the name, lol

Well in a film with Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, Vision, Ant-Man, War Machine, Iron Man, General Ross, Sharon Carter, Winter Soldier, Nick Fury,and that has to introduce Baron Zemo, Black Panther, and Spider-Man;

did anyone expect Crossbones to have a huge role?

He could just be done filming on the Atlanta set. The film is shooting on location in several countries.

He may be done filming in Atlanta, but that doesn't mean he's done shooting all his scenes.

Does that mean more Daniel Bruhl as Baron Zemo? I wouldn't mind.

The dude is probably going to blow himself up in the first action sequence, thereby starting the government to crack down on superheroes, which is good because it allows him to have a pivotal role in a minimum amount of screentime, allowing the other several characters to breathe.

Norton and Terence Howard also have multi picture deals. A contract is not guarantee of future roles.

he didn't kill Nitro. Namor took Nitro with himself.

"Namor used Nitro in the destruction of New Pangea after moving his civilization to Latveria, a nation ruled by Doctor Doom.[13] Nitro was held prisoner in Latveria[14] until Penance brought him back to America after forcing him to suffer for the Stamford explosion; leaving him in critical condition and close to death.[15]

Nitro later popped up as a member of Hood's crime syndicate"
