Nicholas D'Agosto's 'Harvey Dent' Bumped Up To Series Regular Status On GOTHAM

Gotham surprised many last year by bringing in so many of Batman's classic rogues gallery so early on. While Nicholas D'Agosto's 'Harvey Dent' had a smaller role than some other villains, it looks like the future 'Two-Face' will be causing Jim Gordon a lot more problems next season...

Nicholas D'Agosto made his debut fairly early on in Gotham's first season last year - popping up in episodes 9 and 10 as a key element in the mid-season finale. Sadly the actor, who plays the duplicitous 'Harvey Dent' on the show, only returned for a single episode in the second half of the season. Fans of the character will therefore no doubt be happy to learn that D'Agosto has been bumped up to regular status for next season, per the actor's Twitter account:

What could this mean for Dent? While he's already shown hints of his two-faced personality, this extra focus could signal the arrival of his villainous alter-ego. It is worth noting that regular status has lesser importance on Gotham than other shows though. Victoria Cartegena ('Renée Montoya') and Andrew Stewart-Jones ('Crispus Allen') - both pictured above with D'Agosto & Ben McKenzie - were credited as such last season, only to make just four appearances in total.

What do you think? Are you excited to see more of Harvey Dent, or would you rather the show focus on bringing to life some of Batman's lesser-known rogues? Let us know below!
