I'm not taking it. I believe Hugo Weaving has stated that he will not return for the role...so yeah, no. Unless it's another actor, but still, I don't want anyone to replace Weaving. Or whatever, but this doesn't sound right to me. Or I just don't want to see this in the movie. (Except for the Thanos part, probably.)

Eh, not buying most of it. The Thanos part/the army betraying Loki sound plausible, otherwise I don't think it's true. Red Skull being a main villain doesn't sound right (though I'd love a cameo or two), and 'Redacted'? Meh.

@Jolt17: if Weaving had said he was returning, he would then be harrassed if he was in The Avengers. or if he was serious, maybe he had a change of heart and (wisely) did not publicly announce it.

RunDTC: True, true. But so far I've never seen anything that secretive, so I don't think it is more likely than unlikely. Or that's just something I don't really want to see at the very first place. So...we'll see.

The Redacted name makes sense. The Skrulls are a Redacted version of a Very Powerful Lizard Creature from there home world. A redaction is generally a change in the terms of a contract. To me it sounds like a double meaning, a Redaction was made so they can use Skrull like character and Skrulls have been Redacted for the film. Plus the Toy list says Redacted.

The Serpent makes sense, It's a new take on the Midgard Serpent. The Red Skull stuff sounds like a little too much.

The Genes of the Lizard Creatures were split into 2 Species on that planet, Skrulls & Titan. It would only make sense that a Titan (Superior Version) Would lead the Skrulls or "Redacted"

I Just hope the Redacted are not an Amalgam of Skrulls & Kree. The Kree should remain unique and maintain there name.

Maybe parts of it are right. Very little of it. But they wouldn't have Loki and Red Skull each carrying 3 gems this early on and then have Thanos step in. It also says Loki's been collecting the gems but they were already together... Too much else has to happen in the movie for Thanos to be much more than a cameo supplying the army and then being "kept busy" due to Loki's trickery.

If the gems/gauntlet do feature and they get split up by Loki through use of the space gem, then I don't think we'll really find out too much about where Loki sent the others. That way Thanos doesn't know exactly where they are either and is on a wild goose chase the whole movie while Loki attempts to takeover and fortify earth in preparation to use Hydra and Thanos's own army against him when he finally arrives.

I think he's got his gems wrong and the ones that will factor into this story are the mind, space, and power gem. With the other three being seemingly thrust to the far edges of the universe for Thanos to labor after.

I hope its not true. Every rumor in this e-mail is so stupid! I would leave the theater so disappointed and pissed of if they were true.

Fake! They got "Redacted" from the minimates descriptions, which in publishing means they're just keeping the name secret. And the things that's most plausible about this was formed from old plausible rumors.

The aliens are NOT skrulls. Marvel Studios owns Skrulls; Fox owns Super Skrulls. They wouldn't have to change a thing to use them.

Nice try though.

I was going to post that the 'Redacted' is from teh Minimates description, but DCMarvelFreshman beat me to it.

Sad that the Skrulls won't be in it though, they'd have made great villains. Here's hoping for the Kree.

Helena

It's not awful, it's dumb. Redacted means it's omitted, not the name of the enemies. The Redacted...

I do however believe that if the aliens/whatever they are use any portal to get to Earth, Red Skull might be among that army and take a chance to hide and reorganize Hydra. Who I doubt would aid an invading alien force, Skull wants to rule Earth not be some dirty alien's pawn.

That's BS about the Skrulls being owned by Fox.Kevin Feige has already stated The Skrulls are owned by Marvel and were never a part of The Fantastic Four rights held by Fox.

On the other hand, the part about "The Redacted", may be true.I do recall Feige saying something about the villains being familiar, but they me be going by a different name.

Redaction is a form of editing in which multiple source texts are combined (redacted) and subjected to minor alteration to make them into a single work.
~ Wikipedia

From what Wikipedia says, I'm 100% sure that 'Redacted' is not what they'll be called since A) it sounds incredibly lame and B) Doesn't sound very threatening.

And from what tazmaniak quote from Kevin Feige about the villains being familiar, but they me be going by a different name. 'Redacted' sounds very much like a codeword.

"The Redacted." Hehe.

Even funnier than the source's ignorance is the fact that it took 10 or so posts perpetuating the stupidity before someone actually pointed out the error.

Classic Fail.

Sorry MovieMaster, you are going through the ringer for this one. But next time you'll know and that's like 30% of the battle, or something. BUT, if you read this email and wrote the article based on that, you have every right to write up the article and post it. Keep at it!

But, hey, you posted in rumor. Right place for it.
