Reports from Exhibitor Relations are estimating that Peter Berg and Universal's Battleship has bombed at the box office with only $25.3 Million, in second place. While, Marvel's The Avengers is still going strong at the #1 spot with an estimated $55 Million in it's third weekend. The film has now made $457.1M domestic and over $1 Billion worldwide.










The question now is, will The Avengers stay at the #1 spot with Men in Black 3 hitting cinemas next week?



Both Battleship and The Avengers are in cinemas worldwide now.

Battleship aka Battlesh!t had no chance in hell against Earth's Mightest Heroes. also MIB3 will also be hard to beat The Avengers.

It's really going to be tough for Avengers to take over the weekend from MIB3. Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones. Big franchise. BIg names. Avengers' third week.

We'll see though.

Hmm... who knows. Most the public disliked MIB2, so maybe they won't bother with MIB3, and go watch the masterpiece that is The Avengers?

avengers may veey well be in first place till the next big movie comes out which is MIB 3...if not that...PROMETHEUS!
but damn wow!!...avengers made more money this weekend than dark shadows opening weekend haha...
i feel bad for all these movies coming out in May cuz avengers is getting all the attention
im SHOCKED!! battleship didnt do good....it did GREAT overseas...i only thought the reason it was so low was becuz of it being a friday night..kids/parents had school n what not...i was expecting it to do big this weekend but i guess not...
i havent seen it yet n prob. wont
all the comment i read is basically its TRANSFORMERS all over again but battle ships instead or sumthing...lol

men in black 3 has got a rotten tomatoes rating of 67%,i've seen a couple of reveiws on here that gave it 4/5.

who should we believe? i'm waiting for the dvd.

i'm looking forward to MIB3's opening. xD and ofcourse, if they'd be able to dislodgeeeeee Earth's Mightiest Heroes off the #1 spot

well, still Avengers has a disadvantage-it's now on it's 4th week. tho it's still possible that they'd still be the kings and queen/

1.cgi effects
2.brooklyn decker

taylor kitsch definetly needs a new agent

-john tucker must die (rt 25%)
-the covenant (rt 3%)
-x-men origins wolverine (rt 37%)

Battleship deserved to bomb. Hopefully, this will discourage Hollywood from making more movies based on board games. Only an idiot would actually think this would work.

As for Avengers, good job. I saw it again this weekend and still enjoyed it. However, MIB3 will probably take over next week.

Its Memorial Day Weekend, many kids that were in school now have a chance to see The Avengers (many of whom did not grow up with the MiB franchise). Its time to party!

MIB3 is going to make money, Will Smith is box office gold and even though kids may not know the franchise, many teens and adults do. Avengers was able to surpass The Hunger Games with ease and held off Dark Shadows and Battleship, but this is going to be their biggest challenge, especially with them entering their 4th week. It's anybody's guess who'll take #1 (I think MIB) this weekend but either way Avengers is still gunna bank, #1 spot or not.

thanos even got his own title a few years ago,that maybe worth a look if you can find them.

there is also a comic site called "freecomicdownloads.com"

put into the search thanos collection & you get every comic from iron man 55(1st thanos)-the thanos imperative,i think it works out to about 230 comics.
