The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theatres July 3rd.

Who else here thinks that the music in spiderman's tv spot sounds a lot like The Avengers music in their trailers? or am i crazy

Is that the Avengers standing in the background for a split second in that TV spot? So the rumor had it backwards. The Avengers actually cameo in TASM!

I guess the hair adds another 4 or 5 inches to that head length as well.

I understand they want to promote the person playing Spidey and illustrate that he is Spidey, but it's like everything I have seen just screams that we don't care about Peter's secret identity and these promotional images just accentuate that even more, though i know that isn't their intent.

Also, I've been studying this neck situation and I have come to the conclusion that his neck is fine. It's his body that is way too short.

Of course they have plenty of Peter/Gwen pics, this is Spiderman after all. His romantic life is always a huge factor. Seriously, are you guys five?? A picture of a guy and girl embracing makes you barf?? Would you rather Peter and Cap Stacy holding hands for the movies promo? Lord people are ignorant.

Spidey doesn't need to unmasked in front of the kid just to talk him out into climbing up for safety. he can do that just by wise cracking some witty lines as he is best at doing such. this very frequent unmasking really annoys me.

I believe Garfield will play a convincing Peter Parker. There is no way he wasn't picked on and ridiculed throughout his entire high school career with a neck like that.
