TayDee - 6/29/2012, 9:26 AM
Don't see how this is new, he has that same dumb look on his face every time we see him.
ClaireLannister2016 - 6/29/2012, 9:28 AM

TonyChu - 6/29/2012, 9:44 AM
Could it be his real name is actually Dick Grayson and John Blake is the name he was given at the orphanage?
Greengo - 6/29/2012, 10:06 AM

Greengo - 6/29/2012, 10:15 AM
Well I hope he's not just a good cop. I hope he's something more.

And we see his "precision" displayed with some batarangs or some shit.
NOLANITE - 6/29/2012, 10:20 AM
Drumroll....hes going to be what HARVEY DENT was in TDK.

The mystery character who ends up playing something big.
NOLAN wouldn't just hire him to play some street cop.
figuresmaniac - 6/29/2012, 10:21 AM
@optimus69 No, that kid is a King now....
The14thAvenger - 6/29/2012, 10:28 AM
Anyone think that he may take up the mantle of batman at the end of the film? Well maybe not be called batman but if Bruce dies or is too badly hurt in the conclusion he may take the responsibility
JohnnyKrypton - 6/29/2012, 10:36 AM
He's Batman II
Supes17 - 6/29/2012, 11:37 AM

I HATE ORPHANS!
Bigred20 - 6/29/2012, 12:05 PM
A sergeant after one year?!
IgnurRant - 6/29/2012, 12:08 PM
So Batman reprsents one side. Bane represents another side. And JGL and Hathaway are the "audience" like character of whom we relate to that are pawns in the middle. cool.
IgnurRant - 6/29/2012, 12:10 PM
Bigred20

It says years with GCPD so he might have transferred. Plus havinga degree allows you to rise up the ranks quitefast. Butthen again its an A.A. in Criminal Justice, so who knows lol
dfriz - 6/29/2012, 12:35 PM
So I'm assuming that's Batman giving Blake praise..cool
Durf - 6/29/2012, 12:44 PM
Hmm, sounds like Robin to me...
justified1 - 6/29/2012, 1:42 PM
It could be Robin.

If Nolan said he wouldn't be including him in his movies.
Speak4yourself - 6/29/2012, 1:54 PM
I find it interesting that TDKR and Batman returns share the elements of being a sequel involving Catwoman, a snow covered Gotham City along with a masquerade scene between Bruce and Selina.
Speak4yourself - 6/29/2012, 2:03 PM
I also like that this film seems to focus much more on Bruce turning to trust others in his mission despite the fact that his last alliance with a city official (Harvey Dent) caused the ultimate undoing of all his work as Batman.
SentinelofLiberty - 6/29/2012, 4:10 PM
Didn't Dick try giving up Robin and Nightwing to be a cop in Bludhaven for a stretch? Hmmmmm...

@Nolanite,,,,how on Earth could you say Harvey Dent was a 'mystery character' as if we didn't all know he eventually becomes Two-Face?
NOLANITE - 6/29/2012, 5:03 PM
@Sentinel Idiot

Because he very much was. We knew Harvey was in it, and any idiot can tell you he eventually becomes Two Face, but no where and nothing before the film released did we know we would have both the joker and two face in the same flick.
Greengo - 6/29/2012, 5:16 PM
Except the trailers Nolanite!
SentinelofLiberty - 6/29/2012, 6:14 PM
Nolanite.....oooooh, internet tough guy! Impressive!

Of course, those of us with half a brain who are able to read past a 2nd grade level knew Long Halloween was going to influence TDK. We were therefore able to deduce that Dent would become Two-Face in the movie at some point. As you're supposedly a Nolanite, you probably also reasonably assumed he would have more than one villain in the movie, since Begins used two (even 3) "big" villains, and a story with "just Joker" wouldn't really fit with Nolan's MO for telling stories that are a little more complicated than the average popcorn flick.

I breathlessly await your next attempt at an actual adult conversation.
TrueRedBlue - 6/29/2012, 7:03 PM
Yup. He is DEFINITELY gonna be carrying the mantle.
monkeyhead78 - 6/30/2012, 7:00 AM
I still think he'll step into the batman suite once Mr Wayne has been buckled by Bane IMHO
MrReese - 7/1/2012, 7:55 AM
@optimus69 maybe if John Blake was a blonde & had blue eyes XD
