lol Saint, nice.

@Nightmare: What Irish said.
breakUbatman - 8/2/2012, 11:50 AM
@ Saint

That's hilarious!

What cracks me up about TDKR is the Talia red herring, people complained that Nolan changed Bane's origin but then got pissed off when he wasn't the kid who escaped.

"Born and raised in hell on earth"

That's never contradicted in the movie

"Ah you think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding!"

Two kids born in prison, if Bane is born in prison it makes sense for him to have a soft spot for another kid born in prison or am I grasping at straws with that?

Anyways what I go from the relationship was that they were loyal to each other as opposed to one being subservient.
daveB - 8/2/2012, 11:51 AM
Does the script go into how Bruce Wayne was able to climb the bridge and load it with an incindiary device to make a bat symbol on cue and this nobody noticed on this highly patrolled area?? Just curious.
kyle12688 - 8/2/2012, 11:56 AM
If any one wants to know page 85 is where the batman vs bane is

Yup. He's Batman.

Thank you @antovolk!
darkmetal - 8/2/2012, 12:07 PM
@daveB While their are plot holes in the story, things like Bruce getting back to into Gotham or the Flaming Bat Signal arent.
Those are simply things he did that others cant do.

The real problems with the story are in the handling of Bruce's injuries, and a problem that began in TDK as Batman stopped showing the Ninja like skills in his fighting he learned in Batman Begins.

While the movie wasn't boring at all, it needed humor somewhere. It tried to get it from Foley's bumbling here and there but it just wasn't in the writing.

And there was really nothing to cheer about in the film. Batman got about 1 minute of positive light and then gets stabbed and was immediately pulled right back into the Hobbled Crusader mold.

Overall it was great but with just a bit of tweaking it could've been so much better.
BattlinMurdock - 8/2/2012, 12:09 PM
Can we stop with the "He's Batman" comments?

Because to a lot of people, this wasn't the Batman that that argument can be relative to.
JatevinM - 8/2/2012, 12:09 PM
Why is this article and link allowed on this site? It's just like posting a link to the movie
marvel72 - 8/2/2012, 12:11 PM
good movie,i don't need to read this.if it came out before the film was released i may of read it,just like i did with the thor script.
MCUFan1 - 8/2/2012, 12:21 PM
I just hate that it takes place 8 yrs after tdk i wish it was like one or two cause the injury with his leg should have been healed
breakUbatman - 8/2/2012, 12:21 PM

I agree with you that it could of been better, for me each film had it's thing. This one out of the three has points for emotion. I didn't cheer but damn was it sweet when Batman comes out of retirement on the Batpod with the EMP. Also during Bruce's funeral I was like "is that the spectacular ending", but then seeing the Bat signal fixed changed everything. I thought Cap's ending was bittersweet but this one....

It's as they say the ending of a movie can change the whole complexion of the experience, after all a main complaint of Iron Man 2 was the ending.
Sabconth - 8/2/2012, 12:21 PM
Thanks for this.
Durf - 8/2/2012, 12:23 PM
Nice. I won't read it, but I'm sure there are some who will be excited to read it. Good find Irish

@Saint: LMAO!!!!!

I guess now people will get that it wasn't Alfred's fantasy in tne Cafe.It was real.
daveB - 8/2/2012, 12:31 PM
I liked the movie but in hindsight many will say it was a slightly above average movie at best. I am irritated by those who defend this movie as if it were "gone with the wind" of CBM.

There were plot holes apleanty and huge issues with pace and logic. I take it as it was and enjoyed it. I gave it a 4 out of 5 in my mind. That means I will buy the blueray and watch it once or twice. I am not a hater, just not drinking the kool-aid.
TyJenn610 - 8/2/2012, 12:43 PM
@daveB

Does TDK explain how the Joker had time to rig every single separate room in that hospital to blow? Or how about how Batman knew where Harvey Dent was when he was torturing that guy for information AND how he knew everything about that guy?

I'm not saying that everyone should love TDKR as much as I did cause that's ridiculous. Everyone has different opinions and I can't change that, but I just don't understand the problems everyone has with the way TDKR has things that "aren't explained". TDK has just as many moments like that, yet TDKR is "horribly written and doesn't live up to it's predecessor." If you have issues with the bridge/Bruce getting back to Gotham, and you DON'T have issues with the hospital bomb, it just comes off like you're being nitpicky about TDKR for....reasons?

A popup window with a virus was blocked when I clicked to download. I got the file, but be careful guys.

That's cool. I'll prob read the first page or two and then say, "[frick] it, I am just gonna see the movie again"
marvel72 - 8/2/2012, 12:51 PM
wank material for nolanites. :D
LucasMend - 8/2/2012, 12:52 PM
If it doesn't have deleted scenes and only scenes we've seen, so what's the point of reading it? Same thing with those movie novelizations which have the same stuff from the movie with nothing new too add lol
billytwohats - 8/2/2012, 12:54 PM
These Batman movies are far too apologetic. Why does the bat suit have ears? Why are the gloves shaped like that? Wouldn't someone who works at Wayne enterprises recognise the batmobile? Why does catwoman have ears? Etc.... Ad frickin nauseam! That's what I hated most oabout these movies? They where frightened to admit that they where based on a book with pictures in it!
Sabconth - 8/2/2012, 12:56 PM
Wow, a lot of hatred in here.

You know guys, if you don't like a movie or don't wish to read the script, you don't 'have' to click on every article associated with the film.

There's no reason you should subject yourself to something you all hold in such utter contempt.
FilmsFan - 8/2/2012, 1:34 PM
It makes me laugh at those now who are just saying "oh film is filled with plot-holes" ... NO IT WASN'T!!

If u don't understand anything then that doesn't mean it's a plot hole!
& then ur talking about a fvcking superhero film!

Little bit of suspension of believe is a must for all films!
If u can accept that there is a BATMAN, then everything that happened makes complete sense!!

Majority of those now saying that HOW awesome BB & TDK were compared to TDKR!
Well 3 feed before all those were shitting on both BB & TDK & saying how crap they are & suddenly they are great & TDKR becomes a GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT!!

Guy who has written & directed FOLLOWING, MEMENTO & INCEPTION is smart enough than most people here & is too smart to make a film with these silly plot-holes!!

It's just pathetic!
If u don't like NOLAN or his films; seriously man: JUST FVCK OFF from Here!!
Sabconth - 8/2/2012, 1:36 PM
Sure does get intense around here sometimes.

It's nice to lighten up once in a while.

@saintspidey LMAO. Gets me everytime.

Ill get around to reading it.
aurorsand147 - 8/2/2012, 5:07 PM
okay the script sort of fixes the Miranda plot-hole. she gets captured with Gordon. then we see her with Fox when they bring Bruce in with the bag in his head. THEN, we see the gordon court scene where Bane says to Bring Miranda to him. i think in the movie, we have the court scene first and then comes the Bruce, Fox , Miranda scene
aurorsand147 - 8/2/2012, 5:43 PM
okay Talia in the script actually LAUGHS at Batman, Gordon & Catwomam. would've preferred that.
nvision - 8/2/2012, 10:00 PM
Key moments that where left out compared to the original screenplay

....SPOILERS....

Talia actually is hanging out of the truck towards the end dying. She laughs getting Gordon, Catwoman and Batman's attention. She says a few words and dies. Compared to the final cut where the three listen to Talia which seems like a long time because of the poor editing and makes the audience wonder isn't there a bomb ticking back there.

There is a scene in the screen play that has Batman talking to Blake letting him know that next time he should where a mask to protect those close to him. Blake reply's in other words how is it that He is able to find where everyone is at. Batman reply's that he lost someone he loved a few years ago and since then he breaks into the homes of those close to him and implants a micro chip in the back of there necks which Blake then checks the back of his neck. This would answere how Batman is able to be at the right place at the right time so often during this movie.

Scene where Fox is talking to his technicians regarding the autopilot of the bat. He asks what he could have done the techs respond that Bruce Wayne fixed the problem Six months prior. Which was left out in the final cut where they just say that a Bruce Wayne fixed the autopilot. Main difference is the original screen play lets us know that Bruce fixed the autopilot a month before he was in prisoned which would make sense how Bruce gets back into Gotham when he gets out of prison. Granted this opens new questions but at least it answers how he was able to get into Gotham.

Scene where talia reveals that she is the child in the prison. She talks about Bane and it does not show any flashback in the finalcut of Bane training and wearing a prototype mask. The original screenplay is written in scenes showing Bane training similar to how Bruce trained in Batman Begins. This would've held more weight for the audience to see this also would explain that it was the league of Shadows that helped Bane with the mask and maybe even the compound he inhales to keep the pain at bay. Which is better than the final cut which makes us either assume maybe the league of shadows helped Bane with the mask or rather the Doctor in the prison helped with the mask.
darkmetal - 8/3/2012, 12:21 AM
@nvision I read the microchip on the back of the neck part and I think it was Batman sarcastically joking Blake.
But in the novelization there may be a mention of this and if Batman was serious.
