The wildly successful film franchise adaptation that has grossed nearly $700 million worldwide to the popular video game series, “Resident Evil,” returns in its highly anticipated fifth installment, “Re5ident Evil: Retribution” in state-of-the art 3D.

The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun. Resident Evil: Retribution stars Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, Johann Urb, Sienna Guillory and Oded Fehr; the film hits theaters September 14th, 2012

@Nomis Ha! Nice! These movies blow so hard it hurts true fans of the games. I love how it's "Grr I hate you so much Umbrella, that's why I'm wearing your logo on my s&m outfit." She needs to grow some boobs. :P
santoanderson - 8/13/2012, 1:28 PM
These movies make Michael Bay's stuff look Best Picture worthy.

Boringggg!

Any news about the "real" RE movie Damnation? Or RE 6?

I have not heard any news on those for a long time :( ....
BattlinMurdock - 8/13/2012, 2:06 PM
Because there was such a hole in my life.

These movies are garbage. I can't believe there's now 6 of them, who keeps paying to watch this crap?
AnditsOn1 - 8/13/2012, 2:32 PM
Always just poster, but only two trailers....not that confident to show us the footage?
poop23 - 8/13/2012, 2:55 PM
I know that saying "this movie is going to be terrible" in each new RE article isn't going to change anything. But this series is just so bad that i just have to
MisterNiceGuy - 8/13/2012, 3:14 PM
Tea where you at? looks like we got a boob competition over here. its own!!!!!!!
Armyshot - 8/13/2012, 3:27 PM
Okay we all know the franchise is horrible, Paul Anderson ruined resident evil, while Capcom is trying to keep it alive in game form. I'm just curious why is it in every new Resident Evil movie, every character in it, looks like they're wearing brand new clothes? no wear n tear, looks like they just bought them retail, even the tread on the bottom of shoes and boots, spotless. In the trailer i saw what LOOKED like Leon, but i don't know at this point, wearing a brand new brown leather coat. Must've stopped off at a shop not affected by umbrella, and picked it up...

Is anyone even excited to see this?
Todd Gray - 8/13/2012, 4:13 PM
As long as the entire movie isn;t shot on mostly one set, I'd like to watch it. I'm a big JoJovich fan anyway.
Ghostfire - 8/13/2012, 6:52 PM
Congrats on your 200th article Irish, keep up the good work. But i gotta confirm JillValefield's comment!
Protonite - 8/13/2012, 6:57 PM
@BeeneMachine - No. They're total bull**** and should've stopped after the 2nd one. Milla should use her talents elsewhere, and Paul WS Anderson should lay off film-making for at least 10 years.
Drewbee87 - 8/13/2012, 7:11 PM
Lazy poster. And these posters are designed by the same designers/company that do just about every action movie poster you see. Regardless of how the poster looks, I can't wait!
Knightstalker - 8/13/2012, 8:11 PM
Does anybody even watch these movies?
mgeoff88 - 8/13/2012, 8:23 PM
Lol! I knew the poster would just have Alice on it. I've never seen a movie poster recycled so much.

@TheIrishAvenger Congrats on your 200th article! Yoss already beat me to it with those fantastic celebratory pictures.

@JillValenfield I haven't been following the news of the new CG RE movie. I read that the Mercenaries mode in RE6 will support four players now.
riseofLOGANX36 - 8/13/2012, 9:12 PM
I caint wait i love the games and the movies. I see them as something differaunt im not like you people wineing and bitching and crying in my pop corn, saying it's not like the games. teah there not these are the movies.

I like how you people bitch about this but when i bitch about amazing spider-man i get attacked.

And by the way this movie and all the resedent evil movies are better than amazing spider-man and i hope theres more of them. Just so i can hear you people wine and bitch and boo hoo all over your pop corn.

UNTIL next time TRUE BELIEVERS!

Congrats on your 200th article Irish!

Durf - 8/13/2012, 10:27 PM
btw, this movie is going to blow!
JillValenfield - 8/14/2012, 1:53 AM
@mgeoff88, no way!! With four players? That sounds awesome but complicated at the same time. But I like the mercenaries mode, after I've finished the story mode. Well, anyways I'm looking much more forward to the game than this (but it's not that bad to go and watch it, and just have a good time laughing at the stupid scenes :)
Protonite - 8/14/2012, 3:53 AM
@riseofLOGANX36 - Oh really? Weren't you among those whining about the "inaccuracy" Bane's character in TDKR?
mgeoff88 - 8/14/2012, 6:32 AM
@JillValenfield To be honest though, I prefer it to be just two players. With two people Mercs is more of a challenge. I think with four players, it will be too easy. Where's the fun in breezing through all the stages?

Hopefully I'm wrong. Lol, that's about all these movies are good for. Or seeing half assed adaptions of are favorite RE characters. :P
