Video Review Of The Leaked NINJA TURTLES Script; Producer Michael Bay Comments

Last week, the script for the TMNT reboot from director Johnathon Liebsman leaked online. Now, Latino Review have a full video overview of the script. Plus, check out what producer Michael Bay had to say about the script leak!

Last week, the script for the Michael Bay-produced and Johnathon Liebsman-directed TMNT reboot, entitled Ninja Turtles leaked online. Now Latino Review, have now released a full video overview of the script, and it's not good. Along with the extensive video review, the site revealed a statement from Michael Bay (director of the Transformers movies) about the leaked and poorly received script. Check out all down below!



"The leaked script that different sites continue to comment on was written well before I, or anyone at Platinum Dunes, was involved with the project. That script saw the shredder a long time ago. This is tired, old news -- wait for the movie!"

Latino Review points out that the script they reviewed and many others have also has a 30th of January 2012 date on it, and Bay's production company Platinum Dunes had been attached to the project for 2 years by then.

Ninja Turtles is currently going through re-writes at the moment and was recently delayed to May 16th, 2014! If you want to check out the script for yourself, a simple Google Search is all that is required.

Yeah, because turning Shedder into Col. Schrader and the Foot into a military organization, that doesn't have Bay's fingerprints on it at all.

I call bullshit, but it's a good way to find out if a script should be made into a movie. Post a few scripts, let the people vote, and make the film with the highest votes. Although I have no faith in the masses.

I want to have hope for this movie, but I just don't know if I have it in me. The Turtles really have yet to reach their potential in a movie. The first was good, and the CGI TMNT had some nice long deserved character development, bu the story and villains were underwhelming. To Bay and everyone else involved in this movie, I beg of you, please stop whatever direction you are taking this in, and look at the source material please. If you want to do a fresh take, then you need look no further than the new IDW rebooted comic book series. It develops all of the characters nicely, puts a new spin on the origin, and incorporates elements from all incarnations of the turtles. Forget this alien crap. We the fans DO NOT WANT ALIEN TURTLES. We would also like like Casey Jones and April O'Neil to be well developed and important, BUT NOT THE MAIN FOCUS OF THE FILM LIKE SAM FROM THE TRANSFORMERS TRILOGY WITH HIS 2 GIRLFRIENDS. DO THE TURTLES RIGHT OR NOT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The same thing happened with the first Transformers movie. The script leaked and Bay came out and said it was an early draft....cut to 6 months later and the film is pretty much exactly the same as the leaked script.

Whether its an old script or not, they will inevitably have to do a rewrite. I was never really a Turtles fan though.

Yeah, they've only been around for 25 years, why should anyone over 13 be interested? Why should anyone over 13 be interested in any kind of cartoon. Ridiculous indeed.

Give me a break that no one over 13 should care about the turtles. By that reasoning no one over 13 should watch comic based movies or read comics. The majority of people who would have interest in this movie or any comic movies are those who have grown up with the characters not kids

The idea of the turtles doing a little parkour would look cool on film, but other than that idea this script is absolutely terrible. It's terrifying that a writer thought it was ok for him or her to submit a TMNT script like that in the first place.

I am a big transformers fan, but what Bay has done.... No words. I could gripe about the ridiculous and nonsensical story changes and about a hundred other things but as films themselves they just don't work. Autobots and ESPECIALLY Decepticons are not even characters and can't convey or contribute to the plot. Did you care when when jazz or anyone else died? No because you knew nothing about them. Now Bay threatens another franchise to make a quick buck. One with poor humor and character focus in the wrong places

i always wish the people who trash bay would head out and make a 2-3 minute short film themselves. most, if not all arm-chair directors don't have the slightest clue how difficult making a film truly is. I defy them to successfully shoot one short, post it online for the world to view/critique - and then i'd absolutely listen to what they're saying.

sure Bay isn't the best, but without question the guy knows filmmaking. he certainly could use some help with picking scripts & all, but it's a lot harder than most realize. ah well, this is our forum & we're free to spout off.

If this is the case then he might as well come directly to my house and take a dump inside the storage box where I keep all my childhood Thundercat action figures and then rigg it with explosives and blow it to hell as I watch and cry. :p

Wow, supposedly intelligent human beings getting this wound up for a movie about turtles that can do martial arts...

There are times when you have to stand outside yourself and look at what you're doing.. This is one of them!

A concept as ridiculous as this has no business being the subject of a heated debate unless you're 7 or 8 years old!

You know what I hate Micheal Bay as much as the next guy but what us fanboys on here have to say dont mean shit. Movie going people love his movies and eat them up. So unless people stop going to go see his shitty movies and keep making his movies do big at the Box Office (witch they do) then we keep hearing about him and he keep making shitty movies.

If you are visiting this site, then by default you like the following movies in any combination: Movies about a guy in blue spandex that has an American flag shied, a guy who dresses like a bat and fights crime, a guy with long hair, cape and a hammer that he uses to fly, a guy in a blue unitard and red underwear, a giant green rage monster, and a guy with magical green jewelry.

Yeah, Ninja Turtles is so much more stupid than those...

Michael Bay is not that bad. There are far worse director's out there and at least Bay is putting out visually top-notch geek culture films. Also, bullet resistant shells sounds pretty sick.

I don't get the hate on all the 40yr old Nerds and Transformers My dad was a Transformers fan and a big one at that even my Grandpa says he liked Transformers to but when they saw the Movie (The only action movie my dad has seen) he understood that the direction was to introduce the characters to a whole new generation and audience and to keep kids still loving Transformers. I live in the Elite Part of Nigeria (Which means my parents are filthy rich) and I too understand that fans may not like the movies but think about it if he went the way of the G1 (Generation One) Series no one would even come for a sequel it would be boring just seeing CGI robots on a CGI cybertron infact no one except for die-hard nerds will see a sequel but it won't make more money at the sequel it would just be a boring [frick]fest for people wo don't even know what Transformers are. I grew up with the 1980 ninja turtles show and I think he is going the wrong direction with this movie he is really threading on Lion's tails here, He has to re-invent it with a throwback for turtles fans of the 80's and the 2003 cartoons (especially the 80's a lot) and bring some gritty from the comics he really needs the turtle designs to match the 2003 one because it has better character designs he needs to get this movie because I'm looking forward to it, I've never really hated him or I've never really hated any movie but if he [frick]s this up I think this is one movie I would hate..

The only thing I like is that BeBop and RockSteady are in it, and that they supposedly look like their cartoon counterparts. That is awesome. The rest is no lol.

I thought the original Turtles movie was awesome. It had its light hearted moments, but managed to keep a serious tone when needed.

68% of this script seems good enough to me. the action scenes sound pretty cool. Col Shrader though? Hell nah on that one.I know for sure they will keep the alien turtle thing. Dimension X isnt a bad plot point though. it could work. I do think a rewrite is a must. But the turtles have always been for KIDS. Just because you grew up with them dont mean they have to grow up too.
