Iron Man Missing After Partying in LA

Friends fear a drug relapse led to a possible arrest after Robert Downey Jr. disappears during an LA party.

UPDATE: 4/1 - If you haven't figured it out by now, this "article" was an April Fool's day joke. RDJ is clean and sober, and we are all very proud of his comeback. Psyche!

Robert Downey Jr. is no stranger to the crazy nightlife, but his latest excursion into the LA scene may have resurrected some of his old demons. Two nights ago at Les Deux, a nightclub in Hollywood, the actor was spotted participating in some unruly behavior. His group of friends, who he was visiting at the club, noticed he went missing immediately after he got into a verbal altercation with a bouncer on the club's outside patio. Apparently, Downey was told by club security to stop throwing bottles of Patron tequila to several of his admirers; after which he lifted his shirt, pointed to the center of his bare chest and said, 'Relax sweetheart, I AM Iron Man.'

After a fervent search over the past few days, Downey's friends have gone public with their plea to help find the actor. Though they wouldn't admit Downey was under the influence of any controlled substance, their suspicion that he was arrested may hint at a relapse.

Ah, good ol' RDJ!

The man who almost wrecked his entire career and life due to substance abuse, picked up the pieces of his life and put them back together while shaping up his career to be stronger than it's ever been, has now had a complete relapse and is currently missing on an April 1st.

I think I'm in love.

I guess I missed the Corey Haim article. I feel sorry for him. He couldn't beat his demons and they took him. You can also pretty much replace RDJ's name with Andrew Koenig who was found dead about a month ago. I know this was supposed to be funny but it's really bad timing, also the fact that RDJ has talked about how close he actually came to dying.

Yeah I understand this place does April fools jokes every year but this one goes a bit too far: Using someone's real addictions and problems to setup an April fools joke? You could actually get sued for liabalistic material with these defamatory statements. I am not over-reacting either, it's the law and if some other sites decided to run with this story as fact... you'd all be in some pretty deep shit.

If this is real then this is sad. If it's an April Fools joke then....

I think people should lighten up. It's April Fools Day, and just about anything is fair game. I read about 5 articles a day from The Onion that are far worse than this. I think a few of you guys were actually fooled for a second and got upset. Cut 'em some slack.

@teabag- we all know its a joke, and i personally enjoy the april fools tradition here(to an extent) but its just not in good taste is all. i guess i hafta tip my hat for making a false, yet believable april fools article unlike the rest which are playful and obvious

ok, but he did play iron man, and as a fan of his role, we care about him.. just like we care about many other actors who we never met and most of us never will meet.. i was sad when heath passed becuase i was a fan of his role as the joker (at the time all we had were previews) point is, and i understand u defending ur buddy here, but its not cool to imply something really bad and believable happened to someone. ur absolutely right tho, had he not played iron man i wouldnt care half as much, but regardless joking at anyones health and safety isnt really in good fun and i dont think thats what today is trying to promote

Yeah this was lame, but damn people get a grip. "Not funny to make fun of addiction." Yes it is. Poke fun at everything or don't poke fun at all.
